Guest guest
a friends wife is into dieting via all the latest dieting fad: I told them to eliminate soft drinks, cookies, donuts, candy, and fast food. I said that I had heard that taking flax seed before a meal would also help to make her feel full, but I am unsure of the details. I'm on several groups and I can't remember if I heard this here or if I heard it here but it was a different reason why the flaxseed helped with this. Can someone help understand this better? If anyone can think of things I can share with this person to start making better choices (while at the same time not overwhelming her with the " total " unprocessed foods topic) I would welcome any ideas. I'd like for them to see some benefits of making some of the changes so they might be encouraged to make more changes in the future. thanks for any help with this, joseph in NC

Hi Joseph, i take about 2T with about 1 big T of cottage cheese, plus udo's oil, flaxseed oil and about 1/2 t of cayenne pepper, for lunch, it never started out as *lunch* but after consuming that lot, i was full up. >>>>>If anyone can think of things I can share with this person to start making better choices (while at the same time not overwhelming her with the " total " unprocessed foods topic) I would welcome any ideas. I have tried very unsuccessfully for more years than i care to remember, to lose weight, about the only thing i lost along the way was a lot of money wasted on books and food that didn't work. But, at the moment i have a book in front of me, entitled " Eat right for your type " by, Dr Peter J. D'Adamo. Type, meaning blood type. This book makes much more sense than all the others i have, put together. To date, i have lost about 2-3 lbs in the last 4 days. So, fingers crossed. Hope some of this helps you. Regards, Dorothy.
