Guest guest
--- Although safflower is better than canola oils in terms of fat content, it is still considered a refined (heated) oil. Guest guest
I guess this means if you had a choice of borage or safflower you would use borage Thanks Donna In a message dated 2/12/02 3:23:17 PM, joguest writes: << --- Although safflower is better than canola oils in terms of fat content, it is still considered a refined (heated) oil. Guest guest
-Just have to use expeller-pressed E.V. Olive Oil in place of safflower and other refined oils. Safflower is said to be low in fat content, but after all it is a vegetable oil and one really has to search to be able to find an organic safflower oil, plus the quality is compromised due to processing methods. Refined heated oils are quite high in free radicals. Cottonseed oil, frequently found in dry roasted peanuts and other nuts is said to be Genetically engineered. Borage is yet another Essential Fatty acid. I currently just take Spectrum organic flax oil. It seems to work the best for me right at the moment, although I have tried Borage previously, I seem to get along better with the EPO and Flax oils, along with cod liver oils for vitamin D and EFA content.
