Lawrenceville, NJ (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

said that Accumed Inc. has recalled CVS brand Infants' gas relief drops .

CVS brand Infants' gas relief drops (simethicone/antiflatulent) 0.3 mL

contains 20 mg of Simethicone, 1 oz bottle, Recall # D-059-2.

Lot 1251 Exp. 4/2003.

 

RECALLING FIRM/MANUFACTURER

Accumed Inc., Lawrenceville, NJ, by letter on 10/26/2001.

Firm initiated recall is ongoing.

 

REASON

Microbial test specification failure - Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

 

VOLUME OF PRODUCT IN COMMERCE

12,210 bottles.

 

DISTRIBUTION

Nationwide.
