Guest guest
I know I have wrapped left-over pizza in foil and when I went to get it the next day and unwrapped it, you can see the condensation on the pizza looks metalic as though the aluminum liquidfied and got onto the pizza. I no longer use foil on food directly. If I feel the need to use it to cover food, I first cover it with plastic wrap, then I use the foil. I do not cook with it. Try a covered glass cassarole dish. Guest guest
Aluminum is especially nasty around acid foods (like tomato or lemon) but as we are talking about long term use, toxic leakages of Aluminum can be insidious. It is, after all, senility we are talking about. After many years of resistance to dumping Aluminum & grumbling about how the danger was not actually proven, I finally realized that I was taking a gamble with the last years of my life. If my mind starts going, there is no way for me to research & figure out a cure. So I figured I had best give up all Aluminum. So no Aluminum foil is in my house for any reason. I threw out all Aluminum pots & even an old Aluminum canteen I had laying around. I figure that the dangers may be small, but what is at risk (my ability to think, reason & remember) is something I value very very very greatly -- I'd much rather be dead than a senile old dude.
