Guest guest
Thank you, Peggy, that makes it very clear. From another group I belong to, I found this interesting: http://indiayogi.com/website/phase2/waves/newsletterspad2.asp#intro It's about those who take the nourishment only from sunlight. No food! I'm not sure I would want to give up chocolate, though ... Namaste, Sally
Guest guest
You know, my initial reaction to the light eaters, whom I have heard of briefly before now, was 'harumph...and what's the matter with eating food, anyway?' We Cancerians like our full bellies. But the more I think about itm the more appealing it gets....I struggle with eating meat and try to eat as far down on the animal food chain as possible (I feel best on a higher protein /lower carb diet but don't do well on tofu, which I actually like). But really, since reading " The Secret Life of Plants, " it's obvious that plants have feelings, also. And it isn't the death of animals (and plants) that I abhor in the feeding process. It's the pain and fear. I would love to be able to just exist on prana & not hurt any living thing for my nourishment. And if the whole world did, it would end so much suffering for all orders of beings! Tell me, do you think this is genuine, or are these people fooling themselves somehow? It's a very provocative article... ===== ********************************************************* KNOW THYSELF. -->> Starry Night Astrology's Premium Astrological Reports. Email for details today. Guest guest
>>>Clive Baxter did an experiment with plants and foods and their reactions to being eaten. He took a carton of eggs and hooked them up to a machine to measure their reaction. When an egg was taken out of the carton to cook, the rest of the eggs went crazy. The egg chosen to be cooked fainted and showed no reaction. He got the same results with shrimp and broccoli.<<< I hope no one minds this off-topic discussion, because it's fascinating (and a real blessing for me right now also). This raises really interesting questions! Because shrimp are alive, plants are alive...but a cut stalk of broccoli--is that still alive? And is an unfertilized egg alive? Or is it the deva of that broccoli stalk, of that egg? And so does the deva leave it when it's chosen to be cooked? And why would a deva care if a physical object it inhabited would be consumed by another physical object? Would that act cause it pain? Does the deva die, and is that why the devas of the other objects (eggs, broccoli) go crazy...or is the " crazy " reaction of the other eggs being interpreted as pain/fear but perhaps it's some other emotion altogether? One thing for sure, I will certainly be blessing everything piece of food that goes into my mouth from now on out, no matter what. ===== ********************************************************* KNOW THYSELF. -->> Starry Night Astrology's Premium Astrological Reports.
