Guest guest
The Peace Practice: Bringing forth peace in our world Set aside about 20 minutes early in the day: 1. Find a quiet place of beauty, order, and harmony, where you can relax .... 2. Get comfortable and ask yourself, how do I define peace today? 3. Ask, what are the specific experiences of peace that I would enjoy? 4. Ask, what are the feelings and activities of peace that I'm ready to experience? 5. Explore those activities and experience those feelings in your imagination... 6. Feel them and experience them until your body is vibrating (a cool thrill) with the quality of peace... 7. Then let your heart experience and express gratitude; allow it to overflow with appreciation for peace in your life... 8. And in that appreciation, be still... 9. Listen expectantly, knowing that some sound or image or idea will come to you 10. Whatever comes whether it seems to make sense or not accept it, knowing that it's a clue to creating more of what you have sought; 11. Take a deep breath, appreciating the peace you have experienced and the guidance you have received... 12. With curiosity but without attachment to results, act on the awareness you now have, being (and so co-creating) the peace that you sought. Set aside about 20 minutes late in the day: 1. Find a quiet place of beauty, order, and harmony where you can relax... 2. Get comfortable and ask yourself, how have I experienced peace today? 3. Remember each moment, each event, each encounter, each word or insight that contributed to your experience of peace... 4. Feel them and experience them until your body is vibrating (a cool thrill) with the quality of peace... 5. Then let your heart experience and express gratitude; allow it to overflow with appreciation for peace in your life... 6. And in that appreciation open your awareness to others in your world who are ready to experience peace; expand that sense of peace through your household... 7. Expand it to your family, your community, nation, and the Earth as a whole... 8. Hold this lovely planet in your awareness as you would hold a newborn infant or puppy in your arms; cherish it and know that it is, in this moment, at peace... 9. Let your awareness move back gently into your body, here and now... 10. Feel the peace that you are... 11. Accept it for yourself and all humanity... 12. Take a deep breath and relax; the day is over--one more day of peace for you and for all the earth. And so it is. 2002 www.Peacebringers.net . Authored by Ruth L. Miller www.transformingbeing.com .
