Guest guest
Larimar is a form of pectolite found only in the Dominican Republic, named after the discoverer's daughter and the ocean ( " mar " in Spanish). It first surfaced in the early to mid seventies. I was fortunate enough to be living there from 1973-1977, my high school years, and was able to experience its introduction to the world. Larimar became popular very quickly, as it is a beautiful stone. When I hold my stone (only have one left, great gifts!) I get a sense of great joy, like looking at a perfect sky after a week of rainy weather. Although the color would lead one to associate it with the throat chakra, I have found it to be drawn more to the third eye. At the same time, it seems to have some grounding qualities. This is a great stone for after the storm has passed, to help clear the remaining negativity and open you up to joy and appreciation. My intuitive 2 cents... Do any of you have experiences with larimar stone, and if so, could you please relate them?
