Guest guest
I went to the last day of the ACEP Energy Psychology Conference at the Marriott Hotel in Santa Clara, California. I got a 2-hour breakout session with John Diepold, PhD (Touch N Breathe). He could be a better speaker but his presentation was interesting. What is funny is the most interesting part was at the very end. He had taken pictures of a fly at his swimming pool with some weird results. It looked like a small pebble might have been thrown into the pool. John said it was ONLY the movement of the fly who was not in the circle of ripples going out. It was weird and neat, too. I noticed that he never mentioned EFT specifically while he did mention Callahan and Gallo, both licensed professionals. Another session was with a woman talking about the practical side of energy work. She comes from a business background so had a slightly different slant on what to do and how. I liked her energy but would be willing to bet she was homolateral since her voice did tremble a bit. Bruce Lipton, PhD was the Keynote speaker last night and also spoke this afternoon. Bruce said he thought what he was going to do was a small group setting. What he found was a room full of people waiting eagerly to hear him. I know Bruce has a book out. Before hearing him speak I probably wouldn't have even wanted to buy the book. Now I would highly recommend reading it. He was asked by the APA (American Psychological Assn) to write up a critique of What the Bleep. At first he was reluctant since they tended to be very much entrenched in old thinking. He decided to go ahead and found more openness than he had expected. Bruce spoke about Quantum Theory and the difference in it and the Newtonian theories that is the basis of our current outdated science. Modern scientists have tried to perform tests that should have been simple in the old paradigm. One test was of cell division with slides colored orange and green. Instead of predicted results, the results were totally random. They thought the cells would combine and come up with all yellow cells. Not so. There were some orange, some green, some yellow and some somewhere in between with absolutely no predictability. Bruce also made some pretty heavy slams at the pharmaceutical industry. He said they are operating as if only one small area of the body will be affected when given a drug. What really happens is the whole body can be affected. This is what they call " side affects " . Bruce said they are really primary results. He is a funny and dynamite speaker. If you get a chance to hear him, you won't regret doing it. He also said that the ACEP group is on the cutting edge. Little does he know about this group, huh? Speaking about cutting edge stuff, we are even ahead of the vast majority of the people of this world. We ended by forming a very large circle. Then Larry Stoller, the new ACEP President, had us get into 2 circles, one inside of the other, facing a partner. Then we sang a song to the person standing across from us. It was neat. We kept moving so we sang the song to a different person. It was short with only 4 lines. I don't remember the words. It was right on for this group, though. All in all, a great day.
