I too have bipolar disorder, but I'm managing quite well with my medication cocktail and I see an internal medicine doctor for blood tests for my liver panel screening and kidney testing and testing of the rest of my blood levels regularly. Sometimes I'm low potassium, or calcium, once it was low protein so I had to find ways to eat more protein. As far as keeping a dietary journal and mood chart there's a great web site that can be used in any way you want to, you do not have to have a doctor or therapist signed on to see your records. Just use the online journal for the dietary journaling, and mood charting about your sleep, your mood feeling, and for girls and women whether you are menstruating or not. http://www.moodtracker.org I use it though to keep track of med changes whenever something is changed, I journal online for my psychologist to print out any pages I do not keep private for him to read, and see my mood chart, my psychiatrist can log in and see my mood chart, sleep pattern and has access to my journal also but he is too busy to read my journal but it's there if he feels he needs to print something that was leading up to me landing in the psych ward. Hope this info has helped. Kimberly
Guest guest
-Several. It is important to keep in mind that these people swing from one extreme to the next. So with any recomendations it is also important to teach them to listen to what their body is saying. To teach them how to balance the two extreemes. Cleansing the colon will help reconect some of the nurons in thier brain. Sort of like the gut instinct. If the gut is full of nasty stuff a regular breeding ground for scientific experiments, what kind of instict will a person have? Core nutrition Omega 3's for brain tissue nutrition These are essential. Multi mineral Food Enzymes for digestion Fiber Anti Oxidents (thai - go) The core nutrition pack should be used always. Essential oils are good to balance the emotions. Find one that they like and the oil will balance what it needs to. Acceptance, Aroma Siez, Awaken, Valor, Harmony, Mister, Envision (young living oils) or single oils ylang ylang and roman chamomile. Lavender and chamomile are great to use for calming. Homeopathics - Kali Phos is a nerve nutrient. Mag phos is a nerve stabilizer. Both of these are cell salts Herbs - chamomile, fennel, fever few, hoops , marshmellow, passion flower Nature's sunshine's Stress J, Nutri calm and focus attention are great combinations and also increase the B vitamins. Bach Flowers - combination of Argimony, Cherry Plum, White chestnut, Sweet chestnut and Gentian people with bi polar also bennefit from daily prayer and focous out side of themselves. Emotional Cleansing is also very helpful. I have an ex sister inlaw that is bi polar. She did really good when she stuck to the core nutrition and was involved in a church. It was when she stopped going to church that she began to ween herself off the core nutrition. Within weeks she was making decisions that put her life into a tail spin. (affairs, divorce, financial...) If this is someone you are close to, and they are willing, try to find a good naturopath in your area. I hope this helps you. I wish things had turned out differently with my sister in law. But I know she was helpped with the above. One thing to keep in mind is they have a tendency to convince themselves that they are fine and stop whatever treatment plan they are on. Then they have to bottom out again before they are willing to try again. Don't get discouraged. *The above information is intended for educational purposes only. -- In , " dootmegh " <dootmegh> wrote: > > Is there any Alternative Answer to Bipolar Disorder? > > Dancing Mind > http://www.daancingmind.blogspot.com >
Guest guest
Is there any Alternative Answer to Bipolar Disorder?Dancing Mindhttp://www.daancingmind.blogspot.comVisit: http://truehope.com to see what is possible through nutritional support. I would prefer whole food-based supplements, but these folks specialize in bipolar. Visit http://alternate-health.com for more, also interesting information on bio-feedback. Dr Bate is working on a subliminal program that is almost out of testing phase. http://tinyurl.com/cmjv7 takes you to an EFT story about stubborn depression in a bipolar person relieved with this astonishing technique. I strongly suggest signing up for the (free) newsletter and looking into it. Lots of hope out there! Guest guest
I have heard of several people getting over bi-polar using magnetic products. Email for those if you like. Margot Kidder (actress) successfully treats her bipolar with vitamins. This website: http://www.islandnet.com/~hoffer/hofferhp.htm has some info about schizophrenia and there is a vitamin protocol somewhere on his site that he's successfully treated a lot of people with. Since it is a different illness it may require slightly different dosages but at least it's a start to realize that brain diseases can be curable. Let us know what happens! Guest guest
Thank you for this wonderful answer to Dancing Mind's query about bi-polar disorders. I appreciate your excellent choices of essential oils, as I know from experience that these do help with emotional cleansing. For those who do not have someone to personnally assist them, may I suggest an excellent book by Carolyn Mein, "Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils?" Guest guest
Someone asked [[is there any Alternative Answer to Bipolar Disorder?]] And Judy replied [[bipolar is related to energetic blockages of various types of negative energies in the electromagnetic field/aura.]] ** I think this can be said for virtually every ailment. Bipolar, or Manic Depression, has become a fairly common condition. According to Ayurveda, the ancient Yogic " Science of Life " , being bipolar is due to slow acting Sadhaka Agni, or " Spiritual Fire " . If an individual is: - constantly challenged when making major decisions, or unable to quickly determine a course of action for simply, everyday decisions; - is unable to arrive at a conclusion or make a judgement (like whether or not to make a purchase), or otherwise lost their ability to discriminate; - having difficulty sitting still for long periods, or being quiet, if they feel restless or lack perseverance, keeping commitments or performing daily tasks; - inable to enjoy normal pleasures (perhaps the individual feels inferior, or not funny, or good enough); then their mental channels (Chitta Nadi) may be blocked. If these conditions carry on for an extended period of time, then a lack of coordination arises between the heart and mind - which explains the designate: 'bi-polar'. Or, the heart and mind are unable to find happiness with each other; there exists no pleasure in any activity. An individual may be born bipolar or acquire it due to lifestyle choices, such as inappropriate diet or behavior. Therefore, the treatment is in restoring balance through diet, routine and lifestyle. There are dietary, behavioral and environmental choices that allow us to become more self-reliant and in tune with the world around us; with infinite potential rather than being caught in a small-narrow confine of mental and emotional stress. First and foremost, we should practice meditation; which dissolves stress, allows us to grow resilient, to contact pure and/or divine intelligence, and to face the daily challenges of life with ease and control beyond our years. Other ideas to consider in this treatment: - Meditate twice a day (morning and night) - Go to bed at 10pm and get 6-8 hours of sleep, depending on what works best for you. - Drink 1.5 cups of water upon awakening to assist elimination. Removing toxins is very important. - Walk outside daily. - Do not resist natural urges, like sneezing, coughing, crying, flatulence, belching, hunger, urine and bowel movements, sleep- napping, etc. - Eat as close to the source as possible. This means: Eat a apple before you eat a fried apple pie. - Spice-up your eating with black pepper, cayenne, ginger, cumin, fennel, and other 'warming' herbs and foods. - Run away from junk food, frozen food, packaged food, canned food, and leftovers. Yes .. leftovers. They have already been cooked, probably put in the refrigerator, then nuked in the microwave. This is 'dead' food, dont eat it. - After a bath or shower, massage your body with oil or cream. This increase overall circulation and removal of stagnant energy. - Do gentle Hatha Yoga, OR walk, OR gentle stretching. - Breathe Deep, Smile Often! ® Do this several times a day .. it opens the flow of energy. - Take at least two (2) tea breaks a day. Not coffee. Not soda. Drink tea. And while drinking tea, relax, be still, and Breathe Deep! Smile Often! ® - Practice Mindfulness, like loving kindness, truthfullness, calm, non-violence, cleanliness, good deeds, respect, compassion, speak kindly, be positive, read spiritual writings daily. - Make your home, your car, your workplace - any where you spend time - into sacred space. Use flowers, small water falls, meditational music, pleasing aromas, soft lightly, etc. - Keep company with gentle souls. In all things ... Be Whole! Guest guest
I just met a woman through a dating agency, as an opportunity to practise my skills. What I discovered was that what is a nice person, has bipolarity disorder, the depression part of which is controlled by what appears to be an unusual cocktail of drugs, and the manic part by drinking wine. As you imagine this makes her barely functioning. She also has a severe ulcer, possible because of the divorce. To make it more interesting, during the time she was married, her husband worked for a multinational organization, and the daughter was raped abroad. She lives with her father in the States, and is apparently lying around at home (she is 20). I think it would be true to say that six months ago I would have lept out of the window by this stage. However: For the daughter I suggested the Mother look up Energy pschology, rahter than conventional pschology, and gave her my copy of the book. I have also given the Mother the details of Patrick Holford's clinic as he believes that nutrition and nutritional supplements can help bipolar disorders, and I think I will suggest seeing a good acupuncturist that I know before starting some Energy medicine. Is there any specific Energy Medicine exercise for bipolar?
