I did buy one off of Ebay but am pretty sure it is not genuine since

it doesn't have that Moldavite feel.

Just wanted to jump in here.

There is a LOAD of fake moldavite being sold on Ebay. There are, in

fact, selling " African Moldavite " which is nothing more than glass.

Though the sellers will insist it's real, the GIA has tested it and

says that there's no possible way.

I know someone that paid a great deal of money buying a " moldavite " &

gold ring on Ebay. She was pretty upset when she found that she had

little more than emerald green glass in a 14k setting.

The only true moldavite comes from the Czech Republic.

Ebay can be a good resource if one is careful and sure of what

they're buying, however I've seen a lot of stuff on Ebay being sold

as one thing and when it's really another.

I just saw an " ajoite crystal " being sold that, while beautiful, is a

chlorite included quartz. It is truly a care of CAVEAT EMPTOR.

Many blessings,

Speaking of fake stones on eBay--several months ago, I noticed one seller

advertising blue goldstone as natural. Since goldstone itself is not natural. .

..how could blue goldstone possibly be natural?????

Am I wrong--is there such a thing as natural goldstone?

I suppose when I posted the eBay links, I should have said that one should be

careful when buying online. . .sorry, guess I just thought it wasn't necessary.

:-( I hope no one gets taken!

I always laugh at one particular seller (not crystals, but magickal items), who

claims to be skilled in their trade, and well-taught. Just one look at their ad

proves that wrong. Their mark-up is absolutely outrageous, and they claim that

a lot of their items are " rare " , which they are definitely not! It is sad, that

sellers have to lie to make a buck.

I always buy from sellers with high ratings and check their feedback first

(though even in the case above, people are getting taken--they have high ranks

and good feedback, only 55 negatives out of over 4000).

Blessings to you & yours,

Ahreinya

There is no natural goldstone or blue goldstone. It is a " stone "

produced through a method developed by monks. These " stones " are very

beautiful, but they are not natural - anymore so than the many colors

of fake " obsidian " being sold at high prices or the " African

moldavite " mentioned before.

I have found some sellers that just don't know what they're selling

on Ebay (and elsewhere) and believe that they're selling what they

advertise. However, there are sellers (both on and off of Ebay) that

are knowingly selling things other than what they advertise and are

taking advantage of people that don't know any better.

Ebay is best approached with a degree of knowledge. Otherwise, it's

very easy to buy one thing while receiving something else altogether.

With love for all,

Fabeku
