Hi Doug,

Since Sandy did quote Edgar Cayce, I suggest that we used Edgar

Cayce's definition of an ideal.

" An ideal refers to a a valued pattern that is used as a standard. "

So an Ideal is similar to what Plato called " patterns of vibrations " .

Plato maintained that the world was an imperfect manifestation of

transcendent ideals, or patterns. One such ideal is the circle.

Circles come up in all sort of situations each one varying in the

closeness of its approximation to the one original circular pattern,

the ideal circle, which is why we can recognize a circle.

This concept is similar to the NLP concept of " generalization " .

As Plato would say, circularity is an endowment of the soul. To

Plato, education was not a matter of pouring in the facts, but of

reminding a person of all the knowledge that was already within.

Thoughts are things that are real. An ideal is a powerful vibration,

a thing that is real on the vibratory reality of ideas. Ideas are

vibrations at the mental level. When it is stated " mind is the

builder " , it is meant that mind is the source of ideas, or patterns,

that give form to the vibrations.

Words that we associate with mental patterns, images, ideas,

meanings, metaphor, story...all these have the reality of

vibrations, patterns of vibration at the level of the mind..

To Cayce, ideals were idea patterns of the highest value: universal

values like love, or universally valued patterns such as the Buddha

or the Christ. To Cayce, the historical Jesus was a manifestation of

a pattern, an ideal that Cayce and others have referred to as the

Christ consciousness.

So that one ideal becomes a complex patterns of vibrations

concerning consciousness of Oneness, love, forgiveness, willingness

to transform and transmute; yet it is capable of existing

everywhere, of being repeated, etc.

Cayce stressed the importance of our coming to recogiize the ideal

that was governing the patterns in our own lives, and to CHOOSE an

alternate life if the current operative ideal did NOT match our

highest value. Ideals manifest in the patterns of our life

experiences.

To me, many ideals are worthless.

Why are most ideals worthless for me?

Because they don't fit me.

For ideals to work for me I need an ideal that attracts me!

Simple, right?

So, what ideals do fit me?

The ideal of Donna Eden.

So what is it about Donna that I consider my ideal and would like to

emulate?

Her Radiant Circuits...her energy healing...her really caring about

others, blab, blab, blab.

So then with those ideals, what's my next step is the acquiring of

those traits of that ideals?
