Guest guest
Hi All, I need input on a client, and also a friend, I start with tomorrow. This is very complicated. The History I know. He was raped at 4, says he is gay and doesn’t want to be, yet fantasizes about men. Thinks he may be because he was raped. I know this is an issue (self acceptance) we will have to work on. He is also a severe alcoholic, including neurolgic damage. Right now he feels that his life is useless, has zip self esteem and wonders if he is trying to kill himself. He rarely eats. Coffee and a cigarette for breakfast, sandwich maybe once a day, and alcohol starts in the afternoon. Some days he doesn’t eat. He knows he needs help and wants to do something, but lost. He has been to rehab 3 times and it doesn’t work for him. The counseling through the programs were “Christian” and tried to talk him out of his being gay. More harm than good. He is an incredible artist!! I happened to go over to his house yesterday to pick up some of my pottery he had fired. I was shocked at his state change in just over a week. I guess you could say I gently intervened, and it brought a lot of stuff to the surface. He has agreed to come to my office. I told him I would work with him with these stipulations: He can’t have been drinking when he comes over, he will start to eat, he has to do the “drills”. He told me he can’t quit drinking, and at this point he can’t, but can cut back. He has come up with a plan to mark off how much he can drink and decrease it. He has agreed to the other stipulations, in fact he was overwhelmed with emotion that I would help him. My bag of tricks includes Eden’s energy medicine, EFT, and my intuition. I am looking for your wisdom on this. Are there drills I can have him do, what about diet? I am open to your information and help.
