Back in the 70's and 80's I used to do a lot of gold mining. I had

my headquarters in Boise at the time, and those hills are full of

lode gold, and those streams are full of placer gold.

 

But you talk with the old timers, and they never did find any gold!

 

They just shrug their shoulders, take a chaw, and spit some tabacco

juice at their feet.

 

But those newcomers will come in, run to the mountains and the

streams and proclaim to the world what they find.

 

One newcomer calls out, " I've discovered tin! "

 

Another newcomer annonces, " I've discovered copper! "

 

But the man that discovers gold keeps his mouth shut.

 

Now, why is that, and how does it relate to Mary Lou's post, and to

Energy Technologies?

 

Just curious.

 

And, this post is NOT about gold mining.
