Guest guest
What condition are you taking it for? Beckywindflowersong <windflowersong wrote: Good morning all. I am a newbie here, and I have a question. Searching the archives brought up a zero on the subject, so here goes...What can you take or do for peripheral neuropathy?I am currently on neurontin, 300 mg up to 3x daily. (I take it once, sometimes twice, rarely 3x, only if I have to go somewhere, or do something important) It greatly helps the pain, but I nickname it "My stupid pill", as it muddies up my thinking, and I can't concentrate or remember. Much like Alzheimers must be, except I Know, that I cant think or remember. Without the Neurontin, I can't walk. The pain is so bad, I just sit and cry (literally) Any suggestions?...windflowerFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. Guest guest
I am wondering if you have symptoms that ressemble seizures with this? When I am in a pain cycle my body gets all crooked and my face also.. it is very hard to control movement and it is painful like hell. For me the trigger points are in my neck and jaw as well as my lower back. I also have painful tiggling/numbness of feet and hands. How do they diagnose this? Guest guest
I had read somewhere that phosphatidylserine is good for peripheral neuropathy. It's supposed to the coating on nerves or something like that. I think it's also supposed to help with memory. Vitamin World at the Mall sells a product called Neuro-PS that's a " phospholipid complex " with phosphatidylserine in it. Has anyone tried it? - Anna At 03:02 PM 8/10/03 -0000, you wrote: >herbal remedies , windflower song ><windflowersong> wrote: >...snio However, I will soon be off neurontin, >> because I can no longer afford it. Guest guest
OK... so what about the nerve sedative and nerve regeneration formulas and DMSO... give Doc a call on this... I refuse to take allthe & ^%$#@ (explicative deleated) crap that the doctorprescribes for pain, because it knocks me out, makesme loopy, and doesn't begin to fix the problem. Guest guest
maybe something like petit mal, staring off into nothingness, then snapping out of it. I'm not sure how they diagnose it. I was supposed to go for nerve conduction tests, but didn't. Couldn't bear the thoughts of them sticking needles into already very painful, sensitive parts of my body and electrifryng (intentional mis-spelling) me to prove that my nerves don't work. It is obvious enough as is. .....windflower --- Bridge <bbaas wrote: > I am wondering if you have symptoms that ressemble > seizures with this? Guest guest
All my tests are coming back clear even the MRI and EEG. I will try Lemon Balm for a while to see if it would be beneficial for me. It is supposed to improve cognitive fonctions. I have two beautiful plants in my garden and they are not there for nothing..;-) Might help clear my brain and calm my nerves. I wouldn't have subject myself to this test either. I can understand how you feel about it since I am in a lot of pain 90% of the time and that all of the over the counter medecine dont help at all. Therapeutic touch does help with the pain but for a short period of time. Guest guest
I also would like to know what information is out there on the subject of peripheral neuropathy. Someone I care about who lives too far away for me to treat has a rare condition that involves deterioration of peripheral nerves. Numbness has moved over a period of a few years from toes to knees and now the fingertips have lost their feeling. His sense of balance is badly off (even when sitting) and he often falls. Thank you... Protect your identity with Mail AddressGuard http://antispam./whatsnewfree
Guest guest
If you're not familiar with the Dr.Weintraub study and the natural, non-intrusive modality used to relieve peripheral neuropathy (especially for diabetics), it's a real eye-opener. What's unique is that it is truly a double-blind study (where neither doctor NOR patient know placebo from actual). IF I can find this study on my PC, I'll upload it to the " Files " section so you can download it. Regards, Andy
