Guest guest
There are many points that can treat tachycardia, but these points also may NOT treat tachycardia just the same. In T.C.M., tachycardia (as much as any other symptom) need to be differentiated by diagnosis so that you can treat the cause and not the symptom. There are points on the K. meridian that must be tonified if the tachycardia is the result of K. Yin deficiency, or points that supplement the blood if a condition of blood deficiency is the cause. There are even points on the H or Pc channel that must be reduced or dispersed when the tachycardia is one of an excessive nature, or hyperfunctioning of these organs/channels. Symptomatically, points such as H-7, Pc-8/7/6/4 give quite good and prompt results. Yet, if you use these points without a differential diagnosis as suggested above, you may cause damage. You must also bear in mind that needle manipulation here is of prime importance. Failing to administer the right needle manipulation (which comes in full accord with your diagnosis), will render the whole treatment unsuccessful or even damaging.
