Guest guest
Sara: Might be sciatica. I had the same problem around my abdomen. The sciatic nerve begins at the lower spine where it separates into two, exits through the hips and travels all the way down the back of the legs to the bottom of the soles. Pinching or inhibiting of the nerve on either side can lead to severe pain. I have been advised in my case to solve the problem, or face a wheelchair for the rest of my life. In particular, there is a " dead' area in the upper third area of my left sole, where the nerve terminates. I found through extended massage and acupuncture that the most sensitive areas were along the sciatic nerve, especially around the hips. The ticklish area indicated heightened sensitivity from sciatica. Acupuncture and massage do wonders for sciatica, there are probably even herbal remedies to help. Hope that helps, Jack --- Sara <nurturinghome wrote: > my husband has sensitivity in his right side, and > stiffness in his > hips and feet. He was in his late 20s at the time. I assessed the situation and decided it was beyond my scope of practice. I could have shown his wife how to sedate the pain when it woke him up every night but I wanted him to see a Western dr. for " pictures " . I sensed it was something big. If he could sedate the pain he'd never go delve any deeper into therapy. Long story short, he had a tumor growing inside his spine at lumbar 3-4. He didn't have time to try TCM. He would have been crippled or dead long before TCM was effectively dealing with the tumor. He bought time with surgery and dealt with energetic damage control later. Guest guest
Penel: I've never had an X ray or MRI for sciatica, just a long series of healers who have all felt the problem. The problem first emerged about ten years ago with a 'sprain " of the sciatic nerve at the base of my foot, making it impossible for me to walk. Since then, many different healers have worked on it, including an acupuncturist who treated me for six months. That helped to straighten my spine and let me stand straight for the first time in my life. One healer suggested that i get an X ray, but i felt it unnecessary. The most ticklish areas of my body, where i wouldn't let others touch me, turned out to be the parts most affected by sciatica.
