Dear Friends of Reiki:

I have been a member of Reiki4Life listserve some number of years now and I

found out about these listserves recently and joined. I gues I should introduce

myself to others first. I am senior at University of Pennsylvania and I am

originally from Istanbul, Turkey. My aunt in Istanbul is a Reiki Master and that

is how I got the first two levels of Reiki. Like most other people ont his list,

Reiki along with other things have changed my life and attitude deeply since I

was first introduced to it when I was 15. I have been living in Philadelphia for

the last 4 years and now I am 21.

The reason for this email is to inquire help in a video project I will be

working on for the next 2 months. I study film and for my documentary class I am

planning on doing a 15 minute documentary video about alternative methods of

healing, especially Reiki. I know it is a personal medium that should not be

intervened with camera however I believe it is important to visually document

the unforseen and I would like to explore the different methods and practices

involved as well as the whole mentality behind it and how it changes so many

lives for the better. I would really be grateful if any Reiki practioners or

knowledgeable individuals who reside in the vicinity of Philadelphia or even New

York City who are willing to have some of their Reiki sessions taped or talk

about their experiences with Reiki via informal interviews please get in touch

with me as soon as possible. You can email me at burcu or call me

anytime at 267-736-1516. Just to reassure everyone this is just a student

project for nonprofit purposes and I will get the consent of anyone who is

involved and will not use the footage in any other way. Also I am willing to

make different cuts for the individuals' personal use, if they are interested,

who are involved with the project to show my gratitude.

Thank you and looking forward to hear from some of you.
