There is a dairy very close to my house. I accompanied my children there for class field trips when they were young about 20 years ago. The cows are basically slaves. They are bred artificially. Yes they have a hollowed out fake cow made from cow skin etc for the prize bull to mount with a catch bucket. Impregnated cows have the embryos removed and implanted in rabbits which are shipped to other dairies where the embryos are is removed and surgically implanted into other host mothers. This is how dairy stock is bred.A cow must be impregnated before she lactates and can be milked. Female calves are kept for milking and males are immediately removed and kept in the dark and fed milk for a week. they are then sold off as veal. The female calves are fed by hand. Calves are never with their mothers. Cows are milked by machines twice a day. They come to be milked voluntarily of course as it would be extremely painful if their

udders were not emptied. Part of the cattle feed is cotton seed. Cotton is the crop mostly highly sprayed with insecticides which when ingested are concentrated in the fat (cream and butter).The cows have 4 stomachs which process their food. A large magnet is surgically implanted into the first stomach to catch bits of baling wire which are removed periodically . Cows are given pepto bismol tables the size of a bottle to treat upset stomachs.When the cows no longer lactate and can no longer be milked they are given a 3 month break before being rebred. The dairy waste byproduct is sold to local agricultural businesses for fertilizer.We avoid dairy products as much as possible.
