Oh, my heavens no! (Unless they are also a OB/GYN doctor). Your

acupuncturist should only carefully feel your pulse on both wrists,

examine your tongue and perhaps palpate your abdomen. Acupuncture is

typically far less invasive than a Western medical exam and the needles

don't hurt nearly as much either.

I am going to try acupuncture for ovarian cysts and wondering what to

expect on my first visit. Will they do a pelvic exam like a doctor?
