To me gluing is not a viable option for a broken crystal. Even when I craft jewelry and wands, I never use glue, I use copper wire and a dremel for notching when needed. Some view a crystal breaking as it having served it's purpose and it is time to return it to Mother Earth (this would be done in a sacred/ritualistic way). There are other views on what to do with a broken crystal that do not put it back in Mother Earth as well. If you were working with another person when it broke (or thinking strongly even) , it could be an indication for you to keep half and give the other half to that person. Another thought is turning each piece (if possible) into a piece or two pieces of jewelry. I have been known to place broken crystals in my potted houseplants. Most importantly do what FEELS right to you ... listen to the crystal and ask it what it wants. Blessings to your eve, ReNau

Guest guest
i would have liked to have used copper wire but I am not skilled enough so it's not an option for me and would cost me too much to find someone able to do it..so it will probably stay in the draw as non use now. thanks all Tina , renaumoon wrote: > > In a message dated 3/21/2006 1:28:09 PM Eastern Standard Time, > realgonekid5 writes: > > > I unfortunately just broke my rock quartz wand so i am hunting in > > draws for superglue not sure how effective it will be now:( but I > > will give it a go still > > > > >Cringe< It is always disappointing when a favored crystal breaks. Practicing teaches you and allows you to be creative. I have rewrapped things as time has gone by and my skill has improved or just my taste for how something is/was wrapped. And forget about buying copper wire at craft stores. They charge far too much for far to little on the *spool*. Instead you can by bare copper wire at places like Home Depot in the electrical department by the foot (or yard, I forget which). It may be multiple strands that you need to separate but it is not coated and much less expensive and there is more selection in gauge (thickness) as well. This is also a good place to shop for wand making supplies in the plumbing sections for copper pipe and copper couplings etc. ;-) If your crystal was a double terminated crystal that is always another option as well turn it into a double ended copper wand the couplings act as cups that with a little creative wire wrapping you can get them to stay in the couplings without glue. Or you could make two separate wands buy using a copper end cap on one end and the coupling on the other. Give it a try and surprise yourself! Blessings to your eve.
