Guest guest
Thanks for the very interesting story. I am glad you decided not to use the needles without any training. I suggest you see if a trained acupuncturist will help you should you ever decide otherwise. I am interested in knowing what you mean by an Acupuncture Machine. It sounds like you have a commonly used machine for electric acupuncture which allows the pads. Could you tell me what is the name of the machine you are using. I am glad to hear you had success however do continue to be careful and please do not needle yourself without training. Thanks, Bobbi
Guest guest
Hello, this is very interesting how you cured your wife, could you be more specific how you did it? Thank you Pawel T0NYT <t0nyt wrote: My wife has had quite a bit of success from Acupuncture, both for headache and sciatica pain. About 25 years ago, my wife suffered from 24 hour headaches. In her case, though, the headaches were coming from an ear surgery. She had the headaches for a couple of years. She went to an Acupuncture specialist who said that he could just about cure anything with one or two treatments. He found the exact location of each individual point with an electronic point finder device. He placed in the needles and then wired many of them together, and then applied low voltage through the needles. He said that, after the first treatment, the headaches would probably come back worse for a few days and then get significantly better. Well...... he was right. The day after the first treatment, the headaches came back with a vengence. And the pain was moving around all over her head, and not just in the regions where it was normally. We thought that we had just made a bad decision, and had just made things worse. After three days of very bad headaches, the pain went away. It was completely gone. Seven days after the first treatment, she had a booster Acupuncture treatment. The same thing happened. The pain came back with a vengence for three days. During that time we kicked ourselves for having the booster Acupuncture treatment. We were worried that the pain would not go away this time. After three days, the pain left, and it has been gone for 25 years, without any further Acupuncture treatments. OTOH............... I have sinusitis, asthma and heart disease. I like to experiment. After many different experiments, I finally found a way to get rid of my chronic sinus infections. I call it " upside down " irrigation with Peroxide/Baking Soda and Salt. So, not all my experiments end in disaster! Next, I ordered an Acupuncture machine. I also purchased some Acupuncture training programs. I wanted to attempt to use Acupuncture on myself, at home. I didn't like the idea of sticking myself with needles, but what the hell! How bad could it be. Besides needles, the machine came with electronic pads, which stick onto your skin. The machine then sends low voltage current thru the pads, instead of to needles. I decided to use the pads and not the needles. I know that, in Acupuncture you MUST put the needle exactly where the point it, or you will not benefit from the treatment. You must use an electronic point locater to find the point, or you will miss the point. With the pads, I didn't have to worry about finding the point, because I would cover the entire area with the pad, insuring that the point(s) would get stimulated by the current. Well........ at first I didn't use it on myself. My wife, who had a herniated disc, had lost the motor movements in her right foot. It would flop around when she walked, and she would be in discomfort when she sat too long or lied down in bed. All night she would go from side to side, since lying too long on one side would increase her discomfort. So, she took the machine away from me and she used it on her back, making sure to cover the points that effected the motor movements in her legs and feet, and to treat her back pain. The day after her one treatment, the motor movements came back. The pain got worse for about four days, just like what happened 25 years ago to her headaches. She expected it. Since then, with her right leg muscles working again, she was able to built up the atrophied muscles in her right leg and ankle, and her leg discomfort has been reduced significantly. She now can sit for hours without discomfort, and she sleeps all night! Just wanted to pass this story on to others. With the health care system as bad as it is, we feel some satisfaction in having some control over our own treatment. Best of luck and health to all.
