I am curious to how you take that drill and get to where he wanted to go. Here is where he wanted to go; " help some of my clients with reacting instantaneously to ideas or interactions perceived as hostile... " So to take what you did and to install it into the client's nervous/energy system so that he would future-pace in ADVANCE any situation that has not yet happened. This is always done with a method of 'anchoring' state change, so that the situational negative emotion is tied to, connected to a break state, and the new better emotion/energy through practice before the situation occurs. How do you do that? John La Tourrette, PhD

He can teach the client the method, it takes moments to do when the client is triggered. Most reactions are not instantaneous, there is a clue first. At the first awareness of upset, be with what is. Be with the awareness and the reaction (physical or verbal) can be averted. Perhaps this will work for you, give it a try and see. To install the resource state, it is still balancing energies in both hemispheres. Begin by stating what you want and then touch the alternating eyepoints. Application Example: my son comes home late, I worry, fret over his safety, he comes in the door and I'm upset. I realized I was getting anquored to an upset state when I heard his truck drive up late. When I examined " what is " I also got that the core of it was I love him and just want him safe. So the next time I heard his truck drive up a few minutes late, I decided to focus on what I wanted- " to love him " . Using the same method described above, when I heard the truck, I quickly ran the 2 sets of eyepoints. By the time he got in the door, I was calm, loving, grateful he was safe and the whole interaction changed. Not only did he come talk to me instead of just retreating to his room, he then emptied the dishwasher, unasked. It was a noticeable, significant change from previous similiar events and outcomes. I saw how counterproductive my previous reactions were, for both of us. I only installed it that one time and am still able to draw from that resource state. And this applies to other situations with him where my first response would have been reaction without consideration first. The challenge is the challenge because of energetically opposite states, when you balance the energy you enter a more neutral state, from which you can make choices from chosen states. The more you cut neural pathways to consciously chosen states, the easier it is to make them automatically accessible. Karen Gould
