Salary for acupuncturist in U.S. hospital

Dear Colleagues,

 

I have question of financial nature for colleagues in

United States.

 

Now I am fortunate to have opportunity to work as

acupuncturist in Pain Management Center inside a U.S.

hospital. I will be there 3 days each week, outside

to my regular practice in private clinic.

 

I am negotiating salary, benefits etc with hospital

administration. They have no experience with hiring

acpuncturist, and asking me to do research and give

them figures for standard salary. So now I am asked

you ...

 

Does anyone on lists have similar situation? What

kind of salary would be reasonable in U.S. for

acupuncturist working in hospital Pain Center 3

days/week? Job will include health insurance and

billing done by hospital. Right now do not know how

many patients will be seeing each day, but probably

slow in beginning (<5) and increasing over time. Will

recieve bonus for treating larger number of patients

-- but how many, how much is part of negotiation now.

 

Any advice is greatly appeciate!
