Guest guest
> Hi > Can anyone explain the glove anaesthesia technique in detail >please? Sure Moses. Let's have some fun. >I'm not sure which parts of the technique are imagined and which are done physically. Just like the original instructions. >When you imagine putting your hands in the hot/cold water, do you >actually physically hang your hand down as if you are putting it >into a bucket? Yes. You physically place your hands into 2 buckets of imaginary water. The big thing here is to first bring back a complete associated memory of a time you had your hands in hot water... ....and a time you had you hands in cold water. For me, the hot water was washing dishes during KP in the military and the drill Sargent yelled, " Hot water. Need to disinfect those dishes! " The cold water was a time I was reaching into a garbage can full of ice water (and chunks of ice) to find another can of beer. Easy to remember those incidents with full memories, ie., what I felt, what I thought, what I heard, what I saw, etc. So the memory was revivified as if I were there right now. >Then do you imagine or actually put the " cold " hand up behind your head? Yes. > Then do you imagine or actually touch the other hand to transfer the anaesthesia? Yes, like taking a cold piece of steel and touching it to different parts of the body. Remember that the anchor has more to do than just touch it. It has a conditioning cycle to go with it. >Then do you imagine or actually touch the painful area(in my case feet) Yep. What's wrong with your feet? I see swollen, puffy red energy. >If you then stroke the numb hand with the other hand to bring it back to normal, does this mean the affect is lost? Yes, if that is the way the conditioning (hypnotic instructions) was set up. >And does it mean that the pain-control is only affective while at level? Nope. You can leave it numb if you desire. You do NOT have to stroke the part to bring take away the numbness. That part of the instruction was a 'safety' guide so people would NOT accidentally walk around with numb hands from listening to a hypnotic tape. > Hope someone can clarify-thanks You are welcome. John La Tourrette, PhD PS. There are other methods that work real good without hypnosis. Group, want to share some?
