Last night my wife came to me and she was frantic.

 

She told me her horse (Happy) was dragging it's hind legs.

 

To her, that's a serious, serious matter.

 

I shrugged my shoulders, not knowing what to do about it.

 

I'm not a vet.

 

" Well, at least come and look at her " , she demanded.

 

So I walked out to the barn and looked at her.

 

It was a horse.

 

And my wife was still frantic.

 

" See, she's dragging that back leg " .

 

So I asked myself the magic question.

 

" If I did know what to do... "

 

....and I just went into a defocused alpha state and waited for an answer.

 

Inside my head I heard a faint, " Do a spinal flush on her " .

 

So I spent the next 15 minutes giving Happy a spinal flush.

 

Of course Hector (our mule) felt left out, so I had to spend 15 minutes on him

also, giving him a spinal flush.

 

This morning my wife comes in and she is happier than a bear with a bucket of

honey.

 

" John, Happy's okay! Go give her another spinal flush just to make sure " .

 

So I drag myself out of bed. I walk out to the far pasture where they both were

standing in the shade under the madrone tree. I gave them both another spinal

flush.

 

Gees.

 

Is it ever going to stop?

 

I got to find a box for Lynn to stand on so she can give her animals those

spinal flushes.
