Guest guest
Sandy Goodheart I get so tired of people attempting to burn a candle and " hoping " the bad vibes will go away. They won't. Bad vibes are energies, and you need to fix your energies. Gail I like burning candles .... I like the ambience given by candles, tiki toarches, fireplaces, and campfires. I have read that burning candles can induce an alpha state. Likewise so can quietly (meditatively/contemplatively) gazing into the flames in a fire place. If I remember correctly, the effect of gazing at fire has something to do with the flicker rate or flicker pattern. It would be interesting to see what an fMRI would reveal about the effects of fire gazing. Or what an aurically adept seer would see about its effects on meridian energy or other bodily energies. Which reminds me of the Japanese televised cartoon that induced seizures in some children due to the flicker rate of a red light in the cartoon. And this is entirely different from lighting a candle and hoping bad vibes go away. When I do a certain type of reading I like to have a lighted candle (and a bowl of water, a crystal as well). Not necessary but nice. Which reminds me that once I called one of the guys that (at that time) worked with creating and promoting the Slim Spurling rings and coils. I had gotten curious about them and wanted to know more. He told me about how they worked and what impressed me most was when he said that I did not really need them; they were just training wheels. Well, I told him I could use some training wheels and ordered a couple of rings. I do like playing with spiritual technology toys and am intrigued by just about all aspects of sacred geometry. Given lots of " discretionary funds " I would probably order just about every spiritual, bio-electrical, vibrational device (and substance) out there. And telling that story brings to mind what Drunvalo Melchizedek once said: When you need and rely on outer technology you are giving away your internal power. I do believe that the stuff in our life has vibrational power that effects us. That I do not question. As I see it, it IS all just energy. Energy patterns as force or form interacting with other energy patterns. What I do question is to what degree and in what manner does it create an effect; and is it the particular force or form, with enough potency, correctly wielded or used, that is needed to create the effect you desire. Now, that said, I am not one to ritualize some object as the all and everything of healing work or anything else, yet I do make use of many and varied objects from time to time, candles included. I have from time to time used crystals, sound, etherically created symbols, color gels and even salt and cinnamon from my kitchen cabinet or have given someone a sprig of rosemary from my yard and asked them to smell it then hold it while I worked on them. If it comes to mind when I am in healing mode, I do it. Could be the vibrational effect is needed/helpful or could be it is simply needed as a convincer strategy for me as sender or the client as recepient. I do think that lighting a candle and hoping something good will happen is like sitting passively in car and hoping it will transport you somewhere. And I am curious how the whole mystique that candle burning has come to be. Could it have to do with some " lost " information regarding Fire Devas and the ritual is now just an empty ritual devoid of any power. Any one know? I once knew a lady who kept a bowl of water and a candle burning over a dollar bill to bring in prosperity. Did I believe it would work. Not for her...she had more yeah buts and looser's limps than any other person I have ever known. A Teacher once asked his students to burn a candle for a fellow student who was dying. I did .... because I held that Teacher in high esteem. I kept the candles (one lighting another as they burned down) going non-stop for a long time. One thing I noticed was that whenever I passed into the room where the candle was, I would stop and send energy to the man for whom the candle burned. Was the request given because the teacher knew this would happen with his students...(or some of them at least). The point of which is to say it was not the candle but my focus and intent and action which the candle reminded me to initiate. Just as my intent to go somewhere specific causes me to put the key in the car and drive it to the desired location rather than hoping the car will magically will take me there. And as an afterthought, could the candle (as a focal point of the dying man) have kept activated my chords to him and a flow of energy to from me to him? g
