Featured Article #1: Tap while listening to music that makes you cry: Read how Lynna Martinez achieved positive shifts by simply tapping along with music that brought up sad feelings. She says, "For me it has been a wonderful way of "sneaking up" on issues that I am not even aware of. By doing this I have been able to release negative emotions without even having to identify them." Email Lynna

Featured Article #2: Using EFT to cut "energetic cords" of attachment to people: Some people can get unnecessarily sucked into someone else's dramas and they somehow feel attached to this process as though an "energetic cord" was in place between the two people. Alan Morison from the UK shows us how he uses EFT to resolve this problem to everyone's benefit. He says, "Your client will know when the cord has gone or if it has changed and will tell you so. Maybe it has shrunk in size or the colour has changed, in which case tap for what it has now become. The results are very positive and can have a dramatic effect on a treatment session." Email Alan

Featured Article #3: Two cases: (1) Being Specific and (2) Being General: While I typically aim EFT at specific events underlying the client's issue, there are times when being general does the job nicely. Helen Bressler of the UK displays each approach in her article and gives her perspectives on the process. Email Helen

Past Articles from the EFT Website

Severe abuse memories subside...but not over yet: This very personal article by Marilyn Poore should give hope to readers with severe abuse memories. As you will see, she made impressive progress with EFT but did not get the "one minute wonders" that EFT often provides. With persistence, she has gone well beyond the expectations of conventional therapy and her progress continues. Much gratitude for Marilyn for sharing her story. Her efforts should open the doors for many. Bee sting swelling subsides as a "side benefit" of an EFT session: This article by Stefan Gonick points out one of the "EFT positive side benefits" that often occur during an EFT session. Stefan "took the edge off" of a swollen eye (due to a bee sting) for his client and then proceeded to address her serious emotional issues. As the session came to a conclusion, the remaining problem with the swollen eye had become history. Collapsing "hurtful thoughts" during a getting slender teleclass: Carol Solomon, PhD conducted a teleclass wherein one of the participants identified many hurtful comments about her weight. Such comments, of course, are often internalized and, until resolved, can cause the type of internal unrest that causes one to overeat. Carol describes many EFT Setup phrases for these comments that can be generalized to many other cases. Very useful. Powerful Performance Improvement in a Tumbling Class: If this article by Judy Whitcraft doesn't motivate EFT'ers to pursue the sports performance field then I don't know what will. Judy owns a tumbling and dance studio and recently chose to integrate EFT into her curriculum with astonishing results. As you will see, some straightforward uses of EFT allowed performance to increase dramatically across the board. The day will come when professional athletes will be using these procedures routinely. Are you going to be involved in this obvious and lucrative use of EFT? Or will you be an observer? No more bedwetting--a side benefit?: Jakob, age 8, was a bedwetter. However, EFT was not used for it directly (even though he wanted to stop and discussed this problem with his Grandmother). Instead, his grandmother applied it successfully for his headache. After that, the bedwetting stopped. Was this a "side benefit" or was he just "tuned into" the issue while the headache was being resolved? We don't know these answers but we certainly see a fair amount of this phenomenon ... Fear of worms points to critical "core issue": Please study how this case by Dr. Deborah Miller (from Mexico) unfolds. She starts with an aversion to worms and, through expert testing (very important) eventually discovers an important childhood issue. Once this core issue was collapsed with EFT, the fear of worms dissipated completely.
