Guest guest
Hello, everyone. My name is Akiyo Horiguchi. I am totally blind and a female student at Aoyama Gakuin University here in Tokyo. My major is English literature. But I am interested in acupuncture, too, so I am very glad to meet you. In our country Japan, acupuncturator was regarded as a traditional ocupation for the blind. However, that has been changing recently. The people who are not blind have entered into this field, while we blind have tended to take another job. In fact, I am studying English in order to become an English teacher. What are circumstances like in your country? In Japan there are more than 50 schools for the blind, which have a 3- year- course in acupuncture? Do you also have such a system? I have one more question. Which is more common an acupuncturator or an acupuncturist? I consulted some dictionaries and found both words. Thank you so much for reading my message. I am looking forward to your replies.
