A lot of people were doing different things. Basically, shady characters can't stand the light. When I saw who it was I just laughed. Guest guest
> Basically, shady characters can't stand the light. > --Vince This is something I've been wondering about, having had trouble with a shady guy or two in my time. (I'm generally pretty up-beat & easy-going & attract them like flies). Seems, in a group, the shady characters seem to be able to exert a lot more influence. In most groups, there's one more positive or dynamic individual who provides motiviating force, and often one jealous type who begins to find reasons to undermine the motivator. the rest of the folks tend to be more neutral. Invariably, the motivator creates cohesion & purpose in the group, and often a real feeling of comradery. It's at that point the the shady guy starts to shake things loose. Indeed, the shady guy seems to need cohesion, purpose & comradery to plant his toxic seeds. Since the shady guy is attacking the structure & energy of the group, the more effective the structure & energy is, the more effectively it can be undermined. It seems that once the process starts there's no stopping it. I've seen this happen to others, and also been the motivator underattack. It just seems that most people have an affinity for dirt & discord. How would you handle a shady guy who's not out in the open, but working behind the scenes or through other people? Thanks, Jeff

Because Lori was talking about 1 person, a person that was weak willed and a coward. That type of person will not have many friends... That type of person will NOT have the courage to go after his convictions, unless he can do " it " in a closed closet with the lights turned off. Your story reminds me of what happened to HRI a couple of years ago. Go back and read the post Lori (I think) and I did on the mosquito ... it is an isomorphic metaphor for when the shadiest dirt-lovers started attacking Huna Research about four years ago. And, as Doc says, we did kill off all the black widow spiders. In fact, I got a call last night from Dad reporting the last " black-widow-spider-for-hire " went SPLAT yesterday. Reminds me of when Clemenza was coaching Michael on how to take out The Turk and The Cop ... and how it would start a War with The Five Families. He said, " These things happen every ten years or so .... it gets rid of the bad blood. " And the Michael went and got rid of the two guys who tried to kill his father. And they went ... The shady characters I've dealt with have been withdrawn & cowardly, but not always weak willed. They're secretive & bitter & incapable of maintaining friendships for very long, and seem to have innner demons of some sort. What's maddening is that the ones I've experienced seem to have a weird sort of influence. I find myself usually cutting them slack for innapropriate behaviour, because I feel sorry for them, but other people find them positively charismatic. In any case, they seem to have a need to undermine the accomplishments of others in order to validate themselves, and they're attracted to open & welcoming situations, but they seem to need to break them up, to assert their own individuality, I suppose. The one's I've dealt with have an uncanny ability to polarize others to act for them. they stay in the closet, but they entice others into coming in with them. So for your slimy spider, he probably needed to try to undermine the convention just to feel good about himself, that he'd accomplished something. I'd guess that somewhere, he's got a couple of sycophants who will greet his return from the convention as if he were a conquring hero. and they may not be bad people, they just believe that he has powerful wisdom to impart. And their energy will help him recover, & plan his next annoyance. In my experience these crumbs NEVER confront head on, except, occasionally, a quick hit & run (back to their closet). They try to influence from the outside, and use others as tools. So i guess my question is, if your Huna hounder had tried to undermine the fun, not by direct action of his own, but by joining the convention, winning over some of the attendees and getting them to act for him, how would you detect and handle that? (Hope I've clarified & defined) Cheers, Jeff
Guest guest
OK, so WHO gets to " decide " what is " light " and what is " dark " ??? I'm a decent, moral person, and loyal as a dog. Some people would consider me " dark " . I'm no Jesus, and they accused him of being in cahoots with the Devil. C.W. Leadbeater talked about morality and then did what MOST people would consider " evil " . SO WHO GETS TO DECIDE what is " good " or " evil " or " light " or " dark " ? One S.O.B. who works where I work saw the ad copy for my book and hasn't even read the book and tried to tell me I'm doing " black magic " , based on the ad copy. It's a book on ANCHORING, for God's sake... (Same S.O.B. wants me to teach him anchoring, even though I've GIVEN him resources for that, but he won't pay $19 bucks for the friggin' book... Wants it for " free " . And he puts curses on everyone who even slightly annoys him, but I'm supposedly teaching " Black Magic " . SO WHO SAYS what's " light " and " dark " ???? You know that was the " original sin, " ? People trying to decide what was good and evil. So WHO is the AUTHORITY on what is " good " and " evil " ???? Guest guest
What were those last two posts about? Hmm, evil, evil people who for some strange reason believe there is some sort of 'law'' that 'allows' them to do what they choose... when, where, how, etc. Don't they realize that there is a 'structure' of 'rules'? You can't just go around doing things because YOU want to... how would 'shit' ever 'get done' doing that? It's not their fault though, the government is 'responsible for' their thoughts and their feelings. And the church must be 'responsible to' what they say and what they do. Maybe I oughta write to '4' congressmen or something about this obvious misuse of 'powers' and choices. Maybe they are the 'destroyer' of that eeevil 'demon' lurking in the 'inner' depths... because there is no way anybody can ever bear the vast burden of responsibility of taking care their own shit... the only 'skills' I need are to follow the 'drills' the government and the church and my parents and all those other people who must know better taught me and told me to stop asking questions and just do what they said because they said to. Gary Graves BTW... they are both wrong... cause I have my own rules... Uncle Sam told me so! docspeed2001 wrote: , "Rev. James Vinson Wingo, DD" <kahunaviking> wrote: > --- "James R.
