A pretty neat man... In fact, I'm the guy that gave Ed the outline and the title to one of his books, " Zen in the Art of Kenpo " ...which he later wrote. I was going to write it after the style of " Zen in the Martial Arts " by Hymes, but out of courtesy to Ed, let him have the " idea " . The least I could do for a man that did so much for the world. > but unfortunately he died before they could do it. This teacher >is a Grandmaster and I tried telling him about this Ceremonial >Magick stuff and I got vibes from him that he didn't like it. Right. Many/most DON'T like it. It scares them. And because it scares them, they don't investigate the subject, but just fear it and bad mouth it. Normal stuff. Parker himself was a staunch Mormon... ....but I really had some interesting conversations with him about the teaching of the ancient Kahuna. He was a believer. >One time I told him I was learning yoga and he told me that the >problem with it is you can't do anything with it. Actually your trainer was just spouting his ignorance. Yoga, which ever type, does teach bood body control and good mind disciplines... >This compared to the Chinese arts which are beneficial to your >health and they have martial applications too. Brandon, that last statement of yours proves my premise (no disrespect intended;-)... ....because both the Chinese systems and the Yoga systems do have similar roots and very similar technologies. Oh well. Group. This ENTIRE POST was about " energy " ...but NOT the energy of tracing the meridians, or clearing chakras... Your " fun time " will be figuring out " how specifically " ? I'm curious to what you'll come up with. Have fun. 10th Degree Black Belt, World Kenpo Karate Association 10th Degree Black Belt, I Chi Mu Chu'an Fa (Internal Family Style Chi Kung)...Author of " Mental Training of a Warrior " , " Warrior's Guide to Knife Fighting " , " Speed Kicking For a Fighting Chance " , " Secrets of Speed Fighting/Speed Hitting for Street Combat " , and 28 other books... ....Blab, blab, blab... > fraternally, > Brandon > > docspeed2001 <docspeed2001> wrote:
