Guest guest
Rene, I have been using crystal and tibetan singing bowls for a couple of years now. I use them in conjunction w/ color and aromatherapy (and if I knew more, I'd probably use crystals too!!). Anyway. I use a smaller Tibetan bowl to determine which chakras/areas are more blocked than others.... singing it over a person's body, through the chakra points.. then I use a combination of bowls using the notes to correspond w/ the chakra " speaking' to me. This way the vibration can unblock the energy and carry out of the body. Then I sing, or ding the bowls on either side of the body, separately and together and moving the bowls around from one ear to the other. My biggest bowl (lowest sound) is above the head of the person and I sing that one for a while. It also can be used in meditation circles to om to, or to tone with. It also works well to get children to study ( I started using it when my son was 6 and we still play it when he gets grumpy, resistant or stuck). I find that children can really make them sing. Also, don't forget to honor it.... Clean it.... bless it.... you can also put distilled water in it with a few drops of an eo.... What can I say.... I love my bowls.... BTW great book by Mitchell Gaynor, MD - Sounds of Healing, got me hooked several years ago. Good luck. and I hope this helps!! In Light, Su (who would sometimes place the bowl ON my stomach, heart or forehead and sing it - looks weird but the vibration is really cool going through your body!!) - " Mrs JavaJunki " <CroneWynd Thursday, September 12, 2002 5:14 PM [CrystalHW] Crystal Singing Bowl > Okay, Dale and I went and bought out crystal singing bowl! *whoo hoo!* > > It's 12 " , tuned to " C " /Root chakra > > Now, what do we do with it? > > The other evening, Dale played it while we sat on either side of it, on the > bed, and just sorta listened... > > Anyone have experience with these and can give me ideas of how to utilize it > to its best? after all, they ain't cheap! > > René > > > > ****** > Patient: doctor, I dont feel well. > > Doctor 2000BC: " here , Eat this root.
