Hello Friends,

I discovered this site a few weeks ago with much delight. I am an

intuitive who uses the wisdom of the " stone people " in my own

personal and other healing work. Much of my knowingness has come

through vision in the Lakhota (Native American plains region)

tradition. My intent in sharing is to honor the wisdom of the

ancestors and offer this knowledge in service. The story about how

this " came to be " is available to anyone sending me an e-mail. It is

important to me that those " using " or implementing their gifts of the

stones see and respect them as the individuals or persons that they

truly are, and find it disturbing when hearing them referred to

as " things " , so please be kind when speaking of these wisest of

friends and teachers.

This time of accelerated transition and healing is proving to be very

powerful, sometimes difficult and challenging. Those of us who have

been called to work with the beauty of " the stone people " can welcome

this responsibilty with a sense of honor, service and love in terms

of what it can do for both ourselves and the planet. A message

recently received from the stones has told me--We are not separate

from you, we are just different. We are here to work in service the

same as you are. Listen with your heart and you will hear our

messages. Please remember to " be happy, be human, have fun and don't

be too serious about the work " . I guess I needed to lighten up!

My personal experience with " smokey " quartz is that it is very

effective in transforming or " grounding " energies that deal with

negative issues from the past whether they be this or past

lifetimes and clearing " blocks " .

I do a frequent medition that involves creating an hour or two of

stillness while laying down. I do this by intuitively gathering 7

stones, one for each chakra, then placing each stone on the

appropriate chakra. It takes a few minutes for me to discern where

each wants to be placed, but once each is comfortabe I can begin to

listen to the message of each. I then breathe deeply while focusing

on each chakra, the inbreath " breathing in the future, the outbreath

breathing out the past " . Eventually I fall into a restful state of

half awakeness and let the stones finish their work. I will usually

be awakened with a " message " . I then express my gratitude and

intention to honor the message. Each message seems to answer

perfectly my needs at the moment. I find this whole experience to be

very rejuvenating.

Invariably, the piece of " smokey " wants to be placed at the base or

first chakra. I find it to have a very stabilizing " workhorse "

energy, very effective in removing long held patterns that are ready

to " go " , as Peggy mentioned. If not familiar with the chakras, check

out Peggy's wonderful " chakra " sight. I'm finding it very helpful to

have the printout handy as a reference as well as educational tool.

The quartzes that I use most frequently are clear quartz, citrine and

smokey quartz. The citrine I find to have a very " sunny " energy,

very outgoing and happy, the clear quartz very effective for removing

negative energies in present time and use both seem to recharging my

own energies. It is important to " clear " the stones after each use.

Generally I do this by running them under cold water, drying them,

then recharging them in the sun and moonlight for 24 hours. When I

have the time I do more extensive clearing projects.

I live in a town that has four wonderful " rock shops " and often

provide the service of " locating " rocks for special needs for those

who request it. I use vision, intuition and pendulum use to help

determine that each chosen " stone person " is the one that matches

your vibration. Because this involves time for searching and

packaging and report writing there is a charge. Please feel welcome

to contact me at my skyecoe and I will send you more

details. I also have a list of the books I use most frequently

available, a well as guidelines for " choosing and using " or " inviting

and honoring " the wisdom of these our most beautiful elders.
