Guest guest
Well, I love all the comments about Reiki, and the people leaping to it's defense (yes I did my Reiki 'trip' also), BUT... ....my post was about ENERGY MEDICINE and how to explain the differences in very easy to understand and intuitive terms WHEN you are teaching energy medicine. The context of my post was " Theda was teaching a class on EM and the question came up about Reiki in her class " . So the frame I gave fit that context. Here's another example. I was taking a Quantum Touch Class a few years back. I noticed on the ladies' shelf (yes, she was also teaching out of her home) Donna's EM book. I asked her what she thought of that book. Her reply, " She is too complicated. I'm sticking with quantum touch, where it's simple, easy to do and effective " . I did not argue the point with her since it was her class and her territory. My point being her frame was devised to built up what she did and to demeanor what Donna does. That is normal. By using a metaphor, where they intuit the meanings (those meanings should also be true) you by-pass the negatives.
