This web site has electronic metronomes for very reasonable prices

starting at $14.95. Take a look.

http://www.metronomeonline.com

Doc was saying that using a metronome might be safer insurance wise

than using a CD with the Alpha or Theta beat. The CD CAN help you get

the right pace on the metronome, though.

Hi Mary,

When you say insurance wise, do you mean in terms of liability or do

you mean for your own comfort, saftey etc etc.

Sounds interesting anyway.

I'm pretty sure Mary's post was in reference to liability for a

hypnotist who used a " sound " in the back ground for his hypnosis tapes.

According to a post on a hypnosis site, if you use a " sound " in the

background their liability insurance will not cover the maker.

I don't know if it's true or not.

I do know that setting a metronome at the right beat is as effective

as many sound systems used by those who make them.

Exceptions, Bill Harris, Centerpoint cd's, and the Monroe institute's

cd's which are much different.

For making your own self-hypnosis tapes, and to hold yourself at a

wide awake theta brain wave, and correctly set metronome works wonders.

Then you repeat it enough, 21 to 30 days, so you no longer need the

metronome to go to that bridging of consciousness state.

Ps. On my Remote Viewing/Remote Influencing cd's we do use a theta sound to help

our clients quickly and easily acquire those psychic skills more rapidly. We

sell that course for a measely $110. Go to www.mentaltrainingsecrets.com and get

your FREE $50 BONUS.

Keri,

Doc already answered your question. I was going by what he had told us

at a seminar.

Plus a metronome is something electronic for me to play with.

With hook firmly imbedded, she asks: " Please, what is the correct

metronome setting? "

It's hard to believe that I could actually end up using a mechanical

tic tocker. It was not a favorite of mine during adolescent piano

lessons. ;-}

Yeah, what's the correct metronome setting? And " WHY " or " HOW " does it work

SINCE a metronome is NOT capable of being set to the same tempo as the alpha or

theta sounds? You might be able to do it with a drum machine, but I don't have

a drum machine, so I don't know.

An Alpha setting is typically (on a " clicker " or " monaural beats " , such as a the

SMC uses -- not binaural like Monroe and Bill Harris use) something like 10.5

cycles ( " clicks, " in the case of SMC) per second. (Binaural uses different

FREQUENCIES in each ear, with the difference being 10.5 of 7.83 or whatever you

want to train the brain wave level to...Binaural can't be used as a " healing

sound " directly from speakers. Both types of sounds have their uses.)

NO metronome is capable of being set at that setting. Not even the digital

ones.

All metronomes have a " beats per minute " setting. 10.5 X 60 seconds = 630 bpm.

No metronome goes that fast.

So what's the correct way to use a metronome for alpha and theta training, and

how / why does it work?

Thanks,

Jim
