Guest guest
Just want to share this experience: In the middle of a stress attack during last night, I remembered this one easy technique: holding forehead neurovascular points. It was a full blown attack, so I held them…and held them. For about 10 minutes nothing happened. Then, all the stress began to melt away! After 15 I was relaxed and soon sleeping. It was great! I dont know whether youre aware of this or not but another thing you can do is hold images of stuff that disturbs you or sends your tw flaring while you hold the points. It can be anything that causes stress. What you do is make a mini mental movie of the situation that causes stress. For example, if public speaking causes you to panic, then imagine yourself in front of the podium getting ready to give your address. Try to get as many of your senses into it as possible. You then run the movie in your head, WHILE HOLDING THOSE SAME NEUROVASCULAR POINTS until you feel the same pulse coming out of each hand. What this does is disable the stress response from that particular situation and those like it. So whenever you're in THAT situation in the future, youll be able to think properly and act accordingly instead of stressing out. Theres a cool post somewhere in the archives where Doc talks about teaching this technique to a university student who used it to go from D's to A's on her Chemistry class. Good stuff!
