In fact, Dr. Abram Hoffer was named " father of orthomolecular biology " by Linus Pauling, for his use of high-dose b-vitamin, vitamin and mineral therapy to reduce depression, anxiety, insomnia, and even to successfully treat schizophrenia. His methods never really caught on, but many doctors use the approach and we can use the technique at home. I believe that unless a doctor addresses deficiency, detoxification, normalisation of immune responses, and ability to repair, using liver flushes, foods and nutritional supplements, before applying drugs that can never act as a vitamin, next question should be 'why not?'. Of course this excludes trauma. Duncan Crow
