Hi all,

Sheila did send this to me private and via the list, and I was going to

respond in private, but thought that there may be others out there that

were interested in this as well. So, sorry Sheila, you'll get it twice! LOL

I am getting this info from a book called Earth Medicine by Kenneth

Meadows. ISBN 1-85230-668-8 It is out of print, but can usually be found

on Amazon or Half.com. The Native American Medicine Wheel is made up of

12 different totem's. Within those 12 totem's are also stones, colors

etc. Very interesting reading IMO. The *Crow* thing is me all the

way. Crow people are very attracted to *shiny* things....and so am I!

LOL Here are a few other traits that I found right on the nose:

Personality : Charming, friendly, good natured and tolerant <VBG>

Feelings: Sensitive........I still cry at sad commercials!

Positive traits: Idealistic, romantic and diplomatic.

Negative traits: (Moi???) Indecisive (this matches up with my Libra

qualities as well) Frivolous

Sex drive : Strong.....I am NOT saying anything more on this one! LOLOL

Mineral totem Azurite (I've got several pieces of this one!)

 

He goes into detail (11 more pages) of our traits and personality etc. Mr.

Meadows has several other books out, The MEdicine Way is another one of his

that I own. When I checked half.com for a copy of this book for a friend,

I found that he has these small hardback books that go into the detail for

each specific totem. For those wanting to know where you stand, rather

than clog up the list, I will post here what your totem animal is according

to him.

Jan 20 - Feb 18 Otter

Feb 19 - March 20 Wolf

Mar 21 - April 19 Falcon

Apr 20 - May 20 Beaver

May 21 - June 20 Deer

June 21 - July 21 Woodpecker

July 22 - Aug 21 Salmon

Aug 22 - Sept 21 Brown Bear

Sept 22 - Oct 22 Crow

Oct 23 - Nov 22 Snake

Nov 23 - Dec 21 Owl

Dec 22 - Jan 19 Goose

 

I can tell you that I have not had one single person that has read their

part of this book, think that it was off in even a small way! They

normally stand there with their mouths open and shaking their heads <G>
