There is a system which gives points to each stressful event in a

persons life,

many events both negative and positive have an impact on our stress

levels .

When you get above a certain level of stress in a year or in three

years you are very likely to experience illness, emotional or mental

disturbance, incresed anger etc. While most of these life stress charts

do not list events such as terrorist attacks ,declarations of war and

so forth, I think that there is no doubt that the events of the last

two weeks has put most of us well over the managable amount of stress

for the year.

While the list below does not contain the particular events that have

brought us into what might be called a stress crisis I think it is

useful to help get an idea of the stress each of us is under now.

In the past 12 months, which of the following major life events have

taken place in your life.

1. Print out this form

2. Make a mark next to each event that you have experienced this year.

3. When you're done, add up the points for each event.

4. Check your score at the bottom.
