TOTALLY STUPID: Egypt orders slaughter of all pigs over swine flu

TOTALLY INSANE AND STUPID........ I just heard on the news they are changing the flu name from Swine flu to something else, (can't think of it right now as I am annoyed at the stupidity going on) anyway....because of the IDIOTS RUNNING AROUND KILLING PIGS........ they could have easily called this BIRD flu, although last time more STUPID PEOPLE ran around and killed chickens...... as this time it has the HUMAN flu virus mixed in with Swine and Bird ...... I guess they were afraid to call it Human flu ....... as would probably cause IDIOTS to run around and start killing people, who looked like they had a cold. Egypt has just killed off one of its major food sources .......... TALK ABOUT TOTALLY STUPID.....even thought it has been said the pigs are not, note the word NOT spreading the virus ........ Egypt's overwhelmingly Muslim population does not eat pork due to religious restrictions. But the animals are raised and consumed by the Christian minority, which some estimates put at 10 percent of the population. Health Ministry spokesman Abdel Rahman estimated there were between 300,000-350,000 pigs in Egypt. Agriculture Minister Amin Abaza told reporters that farmers would be allowed to sell the pork meat so there would be no need for compensation. In 2008, following fears over diseases spread by animals, Mubarak ordered all pig and chicken farms moved out of population areas. But the order was never implemented. Pigs can be found in many places around Muslim world, often raised by religious minorities who can eat pork. But they are banned entirely in some Muslim countries including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Libya. This is really hilarious, considering that pork is verboten in all Muslim countries and Egypt is mostly Muslim. I really don't believe that they have 300,000 pigs in Egypt, unless you are counting the taxi drivers.
