Guest guest
Not bad but very basic. I don't want it to be 'said' that I was advertising here so if you wish to contact me personally - please do so as I have a proprietary formulation that was handed down to me from my Chinese mentor who has over 50 years of clinical experience.I had Lotus herbs private label it for me but have run out and just delivered a new batch for labelling under my name. I only sell to practitioners of Chinese medicine. Richard > Greetings all!! I was hoping everyone could help with info about weightloss > and accupunture... As to the herbs part of the question... there are different types of obesity. One herbal formula I was prescribed by my herbalist is: Name: Fang Feng Tong Sheng San Ledebourialla & Platycodon Formula Ingredients: Siler (Fang Feng), Schizonepeta (Jing Jie), Mentha (Bo He), Ma-Huang (Ma Huang), Rhubarb (Da Huang), Mirabilite (Mang Xiao), Gardenia (Zhi Zi), Platycodon (Jie Geng), Gypsum (Shi Gao), Cnidium Chuan Xiong), Chinese Angelica Root (Dang Gui), White Peony (Bai Shao), Scutellaria (Huang Qin), Forsythia (Lian Qiao), Licorice (Gan Cao), White Atractylodes (Bai Zhu) Indications: Wind-heat in the exterior and dampness-heat in the interior, marked by excess of both interior and exterior, manifested as obesity, headache, dry throat, constipation, dark urine, or the primary symptoms of boils eczema and itching. Comments: Relieves exterior syndrome, removes obstruction due to interior syndrome, and clears away heat and toxic materials. The heat symptoms mean that weight loss requires something different (such as the formula above) vs. some cold, damp conditions that have to do with obesity. For instance, this formula below is used in low thyroid conditions. Low thyroid can easily lead to obesity, but as you'll see the symptoms are very different from the ones described in the formula above: Name: Zhu Yang Fang Astragalus & Curculigo Combination Ingredients: Codonopsis Dang Shen), Astragalus (Huang Qi), Curculigo (Tian Xian Mao), Epimedium (Yin Yang Huo), Cuscuta (Tu Si Zi), Processed Rehmannia (Shou Di Huang), Cinnamon Twigs (Gui Zhi), Hoelen (Fu Ling) Indications: Hypothyroidism with the symptoms of fatigue, pale complexion, swollen eyelids, over-sensitivity to cold, blank expression, slow reflexes, obesity, lack of body hair, gravely voice, dry skin, lack of appetite, constipation, and low sex drive. Comments: It is strongly recommended that this preparation be taken continuously for two to four months, then with a low dose of thyroid medication for one to two months to achieve the desired result. Dr. Kuang An Kun from Shang Hai Institute of Endocrinology studied 19 cases with hypothyroidism. After treatment, 100% of the patients showed improvement in symptoms as well as in blood tests for cholesterol, T3, T4, and TSH. .... So I think the best bet is to either go to an acupuncturist/herbalist who can suggest an individual formula and probably do acupuncture for you too. And browse through some TCM books. And perhaps on this forum, repeat what you mentioned about the formula you found but also describe some of your basic symptoms, tongue color, whether you tend to run cold or hot, etc. Good luck.
