Kathy > Hi Ash, UTI's main cause is bowel dysbiois, the bad bacteria fluorishing in the bowel. This allows the passage of some UTI bacteria, particularly in women. Cranberry juice contains low mounts of mannose, a specific monosaccharide that fills the bacteria receptor sites (the adhesion receptors) so they can't stick. A better solution would be pure d-mannose sugar, powdered cranberry juice, which contains vastly ore mannose than the juice does, or Ambrotose, which contains several monosaccharide sugars. Ambrotose is a trade name for one of the Mannatech products. regards, Duncan Crow.
