I was part of a management team meeting yesterday for a new corporation that is just getting going. I did the Care Bear Heart exercise just before walking into the room. I felt a good connection with people when appropriate and was able to sit back when I didn't want to get entangled in weird energy exchanges without feeling beaten up, which was my old pattern. Wonderful!!

Funny how things happen - I am in the middle of reading one of Dan Kennedy's marketing books as Doc has recommended. What a wealth of excellent information in there and very relevant to my own business and also to this new corporation. I was able to share a lot of great insights and ideas with the team and they were definitely appreciated. I set everyone thinking about how they could set their services apart from the others out there.

I was also explaining about " languaging " when talking to potential clients and how important it is. Two people really listened and the third kept saying " I already know that " and then proceeded to talk about approaching potential clients using language that was completely incongruent. Fascinating to watch and listen from the language standpoint and also from the standpoint of contributing to the ongoing corporate strategy.

I swore up and down that I wouldn't get drawn back into business again, I love my Bowen work and don't want to compromise that. However, I am realizing that I have a lot to contribute so have agreed to one day a week. Good compensation for my time as well.

It comes round to changing the world and how we affect those around us. A year ago my contributions would have been quite different and of far less benefit. My path of learning enables me to contribute to the team in an extremely positive fashion. When we met with the investment group last week I introduced myself and gave a brief rundown of my background in business and Information Technology. My husband, the driving force behind this initiative, had me talk about my abilities in using metaprograms to help teams work together. Everyone was intrigued when I spoke about language patterns and how they gave insights into how people are motivated!

This was a long post, rambling a bit as I have kicked back and relaxed but I guess what my point is, is that so much of what I will be contributing will be using my existing NLP skills along with things I have learned from reading these posts and the neat directions I have taken in my life over the last few months. What I am realizing is that I can ask the right questions, using the right language, to make people stop and think. And out of that come some really awesome ideas.

Thanks group, you all rock :)
