Guest guest
Ok, so if you're deficient in niacin and take regular niacin then it makes you flush, right? Skin gets pinker and you itch? Because my brother can take niacin with no side effects. I take it and suddenly my skin itches worse than if I had fleas. I also seem somewhat pinkish. I read somewhere that if you DO flush with niacin, like I do, then you should take niacin 3 to 4 times a day, with food, until you no longer experience the side effect. Then you've got optimal niacin in your system. I also heard that it's better to take the niacin that causes the flush than the non-flush niacin. Is this true? How much niacin should I take each day? And would it be fair to say my brother's getting enough niacin in his diet since he does not flush? - Anna
