I had purchased a half bushel of Arkansas Quartz Crystal points & clusters direct from a mine. I had cleaned most of them up, but most of the clusters still had lots of red clay & gunk in between, so I hunted around for something suitable. AHA! There is that 5 gallon bucket that the trash men have refused to take for the last 3 weeks...so I used it. The stuff you have to soak them in stinks to high heaven.....so I put the whole bucket back outside. The trash men came & dumped all of my crystals into the trash truck and off they went!!!!!! WAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! Worse yet, I called the trash folks, and he informed me that I shouldn't have put anything back behind my shop.......and I was welcome to file a claim with the City, but he would deny it! Gads......maybe I am too close to the situation.....or maybe it is my obsession with crystals? LOL Needless to say, I was soooooo seething mad that I started crying! I am going to speak to the Mayor on Tues (closed Monday) and cross your fingers that he decides to do something....otherwise, I have to let my DH loose on them....then I'll need a bondsperson etc etc <G> Sigh.......you guys are the only ones that i knew would understand my dilemma.........I am trying to not picture what happened to all of my lovely clusters!!! http://www.scentsappeal.net ---------- --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Byron PS. this makes the third story I've heard in the last week concerning cleanup crews throwing out someone's valuable items. Reckon they're fomenting rebellion or something?
