I think Congress is the answer here. Some of those people have been in

there their whole lives. You can't get'em out. The military is the only

thing that can help us. They can run them out and put barbed wire and tanks

around the capitol.

Hi Sharon! Good idea... we could stop the insanity of people trying to

shove their values, their religion and their belief systems down

everybody's throats. It's really amazing what is happening in this

country, and you haven't even seen NOTHIN' yet. Wait till the Supremes

have an opening. It's going to be a real life civil war.

Bob, where were you during the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections? Do

you read the news or watch cable TV? There are SCARY and SCARY things

going on in this country. The only difference between this country and

some of the places like IRAQ is that they have guns and suicide bombs... we

don't... anyway, not just yet.

 

I think it's CRITICAL for all Americans to study the things going on in

this country and in the world as well. It's scary when Newsweek magazine

does a story about the desecration of the Koran and people DIE because of

it... and then the US government renounces the story and makes them

renounce it. Today's version of how the State Department is trying to deal

with it is VERY INTERESTING.

 

This country has never been about religious freedom; it's been about MY WAY

and get out of the way. The only reason we don't have religious wars here

in this country is because both sides never crossed the line between the

separation of church and state. Now there is no line and the right is

claiming POLITICAL CAPITAL after having run the 2004 elections out of

churches. Oh yeah Bob... this is an interesting war we have going on

between the red and blue states, and right now FREEDOM for civil rights,

religious freedom and the rest is not looking too good.

You know, I think it would be hard to throw my best piece of Andelusite at

the 'Other Side' though!

 

And even the river rocks are beautiful around here, full of mica schist and

white quartz and schist with garnets in it.... even got some sex stones out

there!

I know that I am fairly new to this group and to the whole message

board thing, but when I signed up for this I thought that I was signing

up for a group that discussed metaphysical properties of stones and

other such topics. I did not know that we were going to be discussing

politics. I personally think that we all get bombarded with all of the

political stuff that we can handle on the news and in the papers and

magazines. I am not against politics but I am against having anyone

disrupt everyones pleasant groups with their beliefs. I am sorry if I

am offending anyone but I feel that this group is not the place to be

discussing politics.

I know that I am fairly new to this group and to the whole message

board thing, but when I signed up for this I thought that I was signing

up for a group that discussed metaphysical properties of stones and

other such topics. I did not know that we were going to be discussing

politics. I personally think that we all get bombarded with all of the

political stuff that we can handle on the news and in the papers and

magazines. I am not against politics but I am against having anyone

disrupt everyones pleasant groups with their beliefs. I am sorry if I

am offending anyone but I feel that this group is not the place to be

discussing politics.

Sometimes the handwriting is on the wall and that time is now. I don't

know how, seeing that, that there is going to be any way for us do

what I have been doing and that was allow very bad situations to continue.

 

I won't post something like this again, but I have to say that there

isn't going to be anyplace that it won't finally be said- things must

change.

Hi group,

 

1) I have to admit that this list is CRYSTAL HEALING WORKSHOP list, and

2) Peggy says the topic is off topic unless we can turn it around to make

it have something to do with crystal healing. Peggy's the boss, and I

respect her 100%

3) So the first thing I'd like to say is YO! Peggy. I agree with you that

we need to create POSITIVE steps to create a new reality.

And yes, AMERICA needs to be healed. America is a divided, angry and very

ailing country. This is the REALITY.

4) For years I too didn't pay much attention to what's going on. I was

living under a misguided spiritual practice that said if I just chant

everything will be okay and world peace will happen. In fact, world peace

was supposed to be REALITY in 2003. That was our goal and my personal goal

too. And then we had 911...

5) There is nothing I can say about 911 except the fact that it was

horrific, I'm so sorry for the people who lost their loved ones and for the

country itself that we had to SUFFER the first foreign invasion of our

land. So then... what happens? Violence and killing begets violence and

killing... and it goes on and on.

6) I'm not judging it good or bad, but from a group of people like this who

are spiritual and wanting to heal ourselves, others and the mother

earth.... I would think our reaction would be to look around and pay

attention to what is ailing. 7) Most people here understand (I think) that

cause and effect/Murphy's Law/what you reap you sow... etc. etc. is in fact

the way we create our reality.

8) Let's start from there. If we create our own reality, and if we look

outside and we see that our reality is YUK and violence and terror, why

would we not then go inside into our own little worlds and try to

heal? For people with spiritual practices, I think that's what we should do.

 

Let me propose this question to all: Are you concerned about your family,

your children/other people's children and the world that will evolve while

you get old (or oldER in the case of some of us)? If so, then I encourage

everyone who is reading this message to have the courage to read, watch the

news, get involved, find out why the potholes in your streets are getting

bigger, find out what your city council is doing in the way of helping

people and not in just distributing the tax refunds.

 

Discover why tax cuts are filling the pockets of big businesses and the top

1% of the population while there is talk of vetoing the transportation bill

that is before the Senate because *we don't have money and the deficits are

growing*. Find out if spending X trillion dollars for tax cuts, the Star

Wars defense program, revamping the military to create new atomic bombs for

use in space while not helping the elderly and children who are in poverty

or sick IF THAT MAKES SENSE TO YOU!!! Read people read... become

involved. Find out that they are phasing back Medicaid, which you may need

one day for nursing home care, or which your parents might need... and what

about Social Security???

 

I can go on and on and talk about the relationship between the political

reality and the REALITY of daily life. It's astounding when you see the

connection and view the reality from A CARING FOR PEOPLE attitude. It's

scary, and it makes me upset as hell because I don't want the top 1% to put

the $ in their bank account when the gov doesn't want to pave the roads and

fix the interstate system, but admits that some 40,000 traffic deaths in

2004 were tied to bad roads and problems with the infrastructure. Does

that make sense to you?

 

After you establish that there is a PROBLEM here (and I can't imagine that

you won't see it if you take time to investigate) then we can come here

and talk about the healing process. We need to be awakened. As a kind of

*seer* and a person with vision, I see a 21st century that none of us want

our children to have to live in. People... history proves itself that only

the people (like the Romans... dig out a history book) can destroy their

civilizations. Civilizations don't just crumble by themselves.

 

I agree with Peggy 100%... we must take a look at reality and then focus on

something positive. I agree, but there aren't right now enough people to

move the critical mass toward looking for solutions because the majority of

Americans (like Bob was... and BTW Bob... CONGRATULATIONS for looking

around) didn't even pay enough attention to the 2004 presidential election

to know that something was wrong. <sigh> I'm not judging... just stating

a fact. More people voted in Iraq than in the US.

 

So that's why people like us (woe is us... the doers, those who aspire for

enlightenment and healthy lifestyles FOR ALL despite age, race, marital

status, sexual orientation, religion or anything else) have the

responsibility to get involved and NOT to sit back on the couch at

night. It is absolutely NOT going to work if we sit and watch the reality

play out if we don't do something. Those who understand the law of cause

and effect and the law of attraction know that we can't sit here and

complain or just watch the reality take place. Our job is to observe and

take action to create something different. This is, I believe, the purpose

of a group like this. Our purpose, I hope, is to do more than heal our own

arthritis or our own childhoods or dysfunctional families. The point is...

if we heal ourselves then the environment and its reality will

change. That my friends is the point. Is it necessary to see the bigger

picture? I think it is or else we just become a *me, me, me* society of

egotistical maniacs.

 

I've been an emotional intelligence researcher for 10 years trying to make

a difference with children. The key to emotional intelligence, which is

the key to a happy life, is self-awareness. The foundation of

self-awareness is spiritual practice. Spiritual practices include crystal

healing, right? What do people use crystals for? To make changes, right?

 

So now let me shut up and let's not talk about anything Peggy doesn't want

on this list... but let's talk about the general philosophy of how we could

unite the XXX number of people on this list to begin to look around their

own communities and start finding out what's going on.

 

I'm willing to set-up another list for the reality check side and then

organize topics from there that could be brought here. I'll do that if you

guys are interested in ACTION!!!

 

Anyone who says YES to the other list... SEND a private e-mail to
