Guest guest
Jason, >I am though >curious to hear more from people that have actually been to these >universities, because I am planning to travel and study there. I have studied at Chinese Universities for 7 years: Two years of medical Chinese, 5 years of . What I am writing about is MY experiences in Chinese Universities. All differences of opinion aside, if you plan to come and study in Beijing, you are very welcome to contact me for information on the Beijing University of Traditional (courses, application, etc) and life here in general. Jason, I have stayed here for 9 years now. I like it here, and I have found great teachers. But I still maintain that the official policy of Zhong-Xiyi Jiehe is not doing much good, especially in education. Just another example: My Shanghan Lun teacher was crying with frustration when the hours of her Shanghan Lun class were reduced even more (the class had been cut short before) in favour of a Western Medicine class. Shanghan Lun class became a Shanghan Lun race. I don't thing that's right. Dagmar ********************************************* Dagmar's free CHINESE MEDICINE NEWSLETTER! Guest guest
Geovani, I understand your struggle. I use the method of counting from the bottom of the scapula, or measuring from the natural waistline. You are right; these are less than perfect ways and I often wonder if I am missing by one, and if my treatment is as effective. But I hate to waste precious time by starting at C7 and counting all the way down. On some people, I can't even feel the spaces between vertebrae because they are too overweight! Others have vertebrae that seem to sit directly on each other, and there seem to be no spaces at all. It's very frustrating. I for one am very interested in your method if you've discovered a better way to do this. Isabell
