Guest guest
Hi group: A great source for pure virgin coconut oil, coconut products, other very healthy products, and terrific information. They are a very nice family. I spoke with one of owners on the phone for close to an hour on one occasion. She took plenty of time to answer all of my questions in detail. http://www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com/ Melissa
Guest guest
Melissa, That's a great resource, thanks! Has anyone been using agave to replace sugar? Comes from agave cactus. Really really good. Metabolizes low glycemic so you don't get that sugar rush. I only use agave or honey. Stevia is good too, but as bitter as it is sweet. Half stevia and half agave is really good. Really good in oatmeal, tea. You can bake and cook with it. I found a wholesale source for organic agave up by you, Melissa, in Simi Valley: http://www.21missionsagave.com/index.html We use it at work and home, and it can get expensive, so I'm thinking of buying it wholesale to keep the cost down. Guest guest
Hi Helen,Just thought I'd pass on a word of caution about agave. The following vid will go into the details -http://renegadehealth.com/blog/2009/10/29/agave-nectar-clinical-trials-stopped-due-to-severe-side-effects/ Also, check out http://www.glycemic.com/AgaveReport.htmAs for Stevia, you wanna do some research (incase you haven't already!) about kind to go in for. Apparently, the white one is processed (so I guess not as natural as its made out to be, eh?). Maybe the unrefined version would be better? I want to switch to raw honey to lower my sugar intake, just got to get over the mental block I have against it :)Hope this helps.RiyaOn Wed, Dec 16, 2009 at 9:53 PM, Helen Driscoll <helen wrote: Melissa, That's a great resource, thanks!
