Guest guest
Hello ALL, Just wanted to give you an update on some of the Katrina victims and the evacuation of those here in Houston because of Hurricane Rita. Many of you may have read Richard Cinta's experiences down at the Astrodome and the Reliant City experiences of where the city and county officials dropped the ball in regards to a particular family that he was working with. This will be a different report. One of the things I do is I am a director on the board of two different non-profits here in the Gulf Coast area. The very first night I was in the Astrodome and had to help the sheriffs department break up the gangs that had already organized and were charging people to use the restrooms and the showers. As soon as that was cleared. I walked down the rows of cots and began asking, " Who would like to get rid of this grief and shock feeling? " Those that responded yes, I said, " I will teach you how only if you will teach others around you how to do what I'm going to show you. You have to help your neighbor or I'll teach someone else. " I took two groups of 10 people and taught them some Huna exercises (EFT/Shallow PEAT, NLP, and other Energy Medicine and Psychologies, etc.). Everyone of the 20 people felt better and more in control. I told these people I will be back tomorrow and if you will help other people around you feel better I have some better news for you. I think we can arrange temporary housing in some apartments for you. The next morning when I got back after 3 hours of sleep. I got some amazing reports of not only shock being removed but, headaches, backaches, upset stomachs, just to name a few of the reports of about 100 people. Out of the 20 people we trained, 15 of them and their families we found immediate temporary housing for and then I started working with those families, with other deeper Huna techniques (Energy Medicine, Energy Psychologies, and another process) around and about how to take responsibility for yourself and your future. Two of the ladies even started going with me to the not as well funded different shelter's and started teaching and working with the people there. Our non-profits helped place over 500 families in living quarters in and around Houston and got them in touch with relatives in other places. When the news came of possibly having to leave Houston because of Hurricane Rita came. At first I wondered how the Katrina evacuees would take it. I noticed two different responses. Evacuee's in some of the major shelters just wanted to get out of the way of the storm and they blamed whomever and whatever was on their mind at the time. Most of the 15 people I originally trained with Huna techniques and the advanced Huna trainings had a totally different attitude. They felt more personal power and felt they could respond and take the necessary and appropriate actions needed to provide safety and security for themselves and those around them. Five of the original group got others that were staying in their apartment houses, banned together and caravanned up to Lufkin, TX and arrived just as they were opening the shelters. I just got off the phone with Jamie (one of the original 20) and he said his wife said as soon as we can get back to Houston, that is where we are going to live. (Jamie, had just gotten a job as a plumber's helper-all on his own.) We have been encouraging and teaching all the people (evacuee's, etc) we have contact with, strategies designed to help then depend upon themselves more than others. It works some times and not as well other times. I wish I could say that we had 500 families that were shinning lights but we can't, yet... and yet I believe with time we could have taught many more than we have so far and help them standing on their own two feet while looking for more of a hand up over a hand out. A lot people asked what can we do to repay you and we always said get health, get work and pass it on. It seems right now that Hurricane Rita is going to land 100 to 200 miles east of Houston. If it lands 200 miles away we may not even get wet. 100 miles we will. All the roads out of Houston at this time are like parking lots. If you do energy work send peace and relaxation to the Gulf Coast area. Guest guest
Doc Houston - Have you heard of this group? (The Open House Project) They are pairing people who have lodging/apts/homes with people who need them: http://theopenhouseproject.org/index.php It's web-based, but it seems the group is interested in working " non-virtually " with those who are on the ground, getting people situated: http://theopenhouseproject.org/Volunteers.php They have created a small business area too, which will be very helpfully in the coming months. I found out about them through a new customer, who works for their (pro-bono) PR firm.
