Guest guest
Also, as dermatology often involves lung function, perhaps the metal element(Lung, LI) is hampered by damp/phlegm. The discharge of bowel movement may bear this out. Is this constitutional now? If so, constitutional dampness takes time and care with diet, exposure to damp and cold, besides appropriate treatment. For this case I'm shooting a little in the dark, but as a group discussion, identifying primary imbalances and their secondary effects may be very interesting. Leaving for a few days, and will chk back next week. peace, luck, fran mystir <ykcul_ritsym wrote:May not be 'excess' pain. If intuitive work is not yet helping, what is whole picture? May be cold,(fixed sharp pain, clots in possibly delayed menstrual flow, pulse of cold pain), spleen or kidney qi or yang deficient. Contipation feeling could be secondary cold or deficiency symptom. Also, age of female, (has tian kui just started, or waning), what is tongue presentation, does heat or cold make it better? Basic CM interview, palpate or imaging for masses, stool, or abdominal fullness. Also, what is appetite... etc. Sorry, not much help, but if problem is really clear, then what pts and herbs, qi kung etc., to use, is also clear. Has operation significantly changed presentation? Try some moxibustion on St36, and a wide spectrum heat lamp on abdomen for a bit to see if it helps narrow diagnostic abyss. (Also an old DIY technique is to place person on back and expose abdomen, fill navel-belly button with salt, place a quarter sized slice of fresh cut ginger root with small needle holes on top of the salt, then burn rolled moxa wool on the slice until it is dried out. use freely, reevaluate). Good for swell belly. Will chk mail tomorrow, peace. Benjahmin Sato-zen <benign_hypocrisy wrote: Need help... Patient (female) has been complaining of pain in lower abdomenal for several months she says pain persists. Accented by large bulging of lower abdomenal area. Patient has infrequent bowel movements, to next to nothing. Went to hospital twice, each diagnosis she recieved from 2 seperate doctors contradicted the other. One said it was stool in the intestines and prescribed her many constapation medications. Constapation meds have not done a thing to abate the pain or allow the stool they said she had to go. Second doctor took X-RAY of abdomen and said there was not any stool present. Patient has history of inflamed ovary which resulted in the removal of a cist from her ovary 2 years ago. Patient is very ill much of the time and I fear that this was just misdiagnosis after misdiagnosis resulting in the removal of a portion of her ovary which was unnecessary to begin with. Yet I digress .... Please advise, I've tried everything except needle insertion to foil her pain. Much qigong, much reiki, these things. Little is being done. We have sought the assistance of an herbalist, but this is obviously not a problem which would go away by toning the organs. This is a case of excessive chi in the lower abdomenal. I can't classify it for my studies are not accelerant enough. Please advise. I have experience in needle insertion theory and technique so I can administer the pointage ... I need the coordinates however ... please advise. Patient describes bad pain which brings her to tears a lot ... other symptoms which may be contraindicative of any initial diagnosis are ... severe exczema over much of the body, intense mood swings, water coming from anus when try to bowel movement, and small white " pebble-like " spheres in stool when little bowel movement is success. I can be reached here but I would please ask you to send me private message @ benign_hypocrisy, or sensimus. Guest guest
I'm not sure anyone has said this but the white stool spheres sound like something wrong with the patient's bile. If so, I would also suspect that she is having some liver problems too. Is she showing any signs of malaise, ribside pain, or jaundice? Does she have hepatitis? I would softly palpate her right side to see if there is any pain or tenderness, careful it could be inflammed and referring to low ab. I would needle away from the area with distal points. TW6, LV3, ST36, and the Hua Tuo Jia Jie point at the same level vertebrae to give her relief of pain. Use 1/5 cun needles 30- 32guage thrusting and lifting reducing technique. Leeve needle in situ for 28 minutes. acupuncture , Benjahmin Sato-zen <benign_hypocrisy> wrote: > Need help... > > Patient (female) has been complaining of pain in lower > abdomenal for several months she says pain persists. > Accented by large bulging of lower abdomenal area. > Patient has infrequent bowel movements, to next to > nothing.
