The difference between Expectation and Real results is TIME!

Hi Mary Lou,

First of all, this post is NOT about " part II " . That's a different

subject.

Here I'll go over some of what you are talking about.

And it depends on the definition of 'positive'.

It's the way people think that is productive or non-productive.

Taking an expression like, " they can do it but not me " , is not very

beneficial.

Saying, " I failed at X " is not very productive, especially when they

unconsciously stack all the non-productive times, comparing them

with other times they were non-productive.

That type of comparison builds negative thought forms, and as long

as you keep them strong and power, it's hard to by-pass them.

The comparison is incorrect, and that comparision done with other

non-productive occurances only increases the problem.

And, here's the good news. If all that they do is goal orientated,

and then what they experience is compared with THEIR GOAL (not their

non-productiveness)as FEEDBACK to where they want to go, then they

can easily adjust their behavior directly towards that GOAL.

Then all behavior is now positive feedback, NOT failure.

Sort of like an airplane flying from Los Angeles to New York. It's

off course most of the time...but because of the piolet constantly

calibrating with where he wants to land, he eventually gets there.

And the more practice the better his results of getting his goal

becomes.

He knows what he wants. He has a method of getting there (knows how

to fly and has an airplane), and he can calibrate where he is in

respect to where he's going.

>Yet when things seem to be of our control and out of one's " area of

>expertise " , it's not that hard to get down about it.

Yes, like I stated above. What you are mentioning is the second

area, " knowing the specific how-to " . This is the area

of 'capabilities'.

When you've got the 'want to', have the 'opportunity to', and you

are ready to 'take action', but don't have the 'how-to'

(capabilities), frustration comes quick and easy.

Yes, I've been there and done that. Knee operation. Broke my back at

C2 about 8 years ago. Car accident about 9 months ago put my neck,

upper-spine and left shoulder on hold.

But, I know how to fix all of them, and they are all doing quite

nicely. And it did take time, knowledge and persistance.

Between Energy Medicine, NLP, Self-hypnosis, Energy Psychology, The

Edgar Cayce remedies, and lots of persistence and study, they all

work rather well...

....even to kicking young hot-shot black belts in the head at will,

but that's another story.

....and I just lost 21 pounds in 28 days without dieting and only

minor amounts of exercise.

....and I did it during the holidays while all around me were pigging

out.

(Now 'why' did I choose that time to do the drill to get the outcome

I wanted?)

....BUT IT ALL TAKES AWHILE! It takes TIME!

That tiny part of the healing equation is your 'expectancy', your

belief and the specific how-to that you are currently doing.

This belief is called the self-efficacy-expectation, which is your

belief in you own effectiveness in doing something.

If they don't believe they are going to do very well at (fill in the

blank with anything, ie, healing, giving a speech, losing weight,

stop smoking, etc), then their performance/behavior is going to stay

at about the same level.

And, without instant visible results disappointment sets in and

their initial positive belief starts to drop. Sometimes it will go

even lower than the original competency level. Bluntly, when most

people reach a plateau, they take that as negative feedback that

what they are doing is not working.

Now the other lady was talking about depression and how she'd tried

EFT and it stopped working after 3 days.

So she got good results, but since they didn't remain she decided

(installed a belief) that EFT didn't work for her, but it probably

works for others, which is non-productive.

I'll bet that all she needed to do was to tap out all the aspects

she could fine. EFT is good for getting rid of depression, but if

you have no goals that are positive to more towards, that depression

is re-established.

For example, there are about 40%, 50% of the population that

visualize quite well but NEVER get the results they want.

Even when they see clear pictures of themselves being successful.

These people were studied and it was found out that AFTER they made

the good pictures they had an unconscious tag end that went

something like this; " I will never be able to do that. That is just

an unrealistic expectation or false hope! "

And that negative tag end will BLOW OUT any visualization technique!

Why?

Because it (the belief) is at a higher level of manifestation

that 'capabilities' (the visualization) is.

Any 'knowing how-to' (a capability) is not enough if the belief does

not support it. In fact believing that one is going to fail will

make the best techniques for success fail.

Notice how Donna installs (I think consciously) the skills and the

beliefs, and the values so that when people are in her presence,

they have HOPE.

So they'll do the drills because of her stories (metaphors about

other people's healings), because of her skills at teaching (hands

on demonstrations with IMMEDIATE FEEDBACK), THEN you learn those

skills under the careful and guiding eyes of her and her trained

assistants.

Then there are the handouts, the books, the manuals, the videos, the

cd's, the dvd's. All positive reinforcement to install positive

beliefs about those skills.

On another note, I know that with my own knee, while walking into

the office with a friend, he stated to me, " Doc, does that knee hurt

a lot? "

My answer, " no " .

His next question, " well, why are you limping so badly then? "

And I asked myself this question, " if I could walk as if my knee was

healed, then how specifically would I walk? "

And I instantly walked that way. And my knee felt good then and

still feels good now.

Did I have to adapt some of my behaviors? Sure. That's called

feedback.

More later.

Sincerely,
